It,s a 1987 Pinen gruin ( sic) metallic 1.8i M10 auto Saloon and i,m loving the
easy way it drives. Needs a few frilly bits sorting but the
Bodyshop who will be carrying out the work is amazed at the over all condition, particularly the paint work.

Nice looking chariot. Lovely, and rare, colour.

Have to admit, it was the colour that first attracted me to it.
Bought it originally to install a 2.8 stroker in it but atm that,s not going to happen.

More doors will be fashionable soon at this rate.

Cracking looking car.

I've got a Vulcan grey in the collection now, liking the rarer colours myself.

Only six pot turds had houndstooth, and I am pretty certain you could get green ! :)

Rob, you are a very sick individual ! :D

Respect on leaving it alone, the injected M10 is a pleasant little plodder , unlike the carb horror :(

All that needs is some minty bottletops and some proper springs, AND a drivers seat. That will be the hard bit :(

Springs are on order, pete, then I will sort the wheels.
Bottletops was my thought too.
It,s a very basic motor, manual widows, no rear speakers, but for me that
is part of it,s appeal. Everything it has got, works perfectly.

As you say, the M10 is a revelation, plus the MPG just seems so much better.
Though that,s probably down to the way one drives an auto. :thumb:

Not Wullies one?

That was hanging when I viewed it recently, just as well you want it for the track but you could have had my pristine cirrus with all the hard work done instead. :)

It,s a look that sits so comfortably with me ,pete. :)

To all those that asked what plans re the bodyshop.
It will going up on a 4 post lift on Friday for a thorough inspection.
There is some bubbling on both rear arches, very slight though.
Also on passenger door. Very small patch of lacquer peel on
the boot and bonnet has a shallow scratch.

This is definitely a keeper so all of the above will be rectified.
Paintwork, imo, does not warrant a respray but will listen
to what the Bodyshop advises.
Will take some more pics when it,s on the lift.

Damn you, ThomasBellamy , damn you.

Thanks to all for the appreciation. :thumb:

Close Andy, its SmaragdgrÃan Metallic.
The steelies will be staying for now but can,t
help feeling it needs something, wheel wise, to set it off.

Something different but understated, if you get what I mean.

Nice pics Rob.

I vote 15" BBS for wheel choice, here is the car when I had it with BBS alloys on:

Cracker of a car that mate and will be nice to see it when all the fiddly bits have been completed!

Good pic that J, wheels look mint but still fancy something different.
Have you seen the pics of it on new rear springs? :)
