This is how it all started, a totally standard One owner car with 97k backed up by a Full BMW Service History.

Overall its pretty much a solid Sport thanks to it being garaged from new.

Anyway here's the progress I've stripped alot of it already. Front end including Radiator, bottles, airbox and the manifold/rocker cover to be taken off and powder coated.

The front/rear screens including the pop out rear quarters have been removed for a full glass out respray the doors will also be removed to respray.

With the rot cut out all that was needed was a new section precision welded in place all buffed down and a light skim of filler...

All nice and solid behind the wings

random shot from the rear

Behind the arches all solid

Has been in the body-shop for two weeks and a lot of work has already been done the section that was cut out has been seam sealed and the engine bay has been sprayed... not yet got round to taking the pictures

For now a sneak preview of some of the goodies and a peek of the exhaust

Isn't the exhaust supposed to have two pipes going to the middle? Or am I mistaken?

Fresh black sport, looking forward to the seeing the end pictures

It's not a standard system the new exhaust is an full BTB 3 stainless steel exhaust system.

Progress is on the slow at the moment just waiting for a few bits and bobs ordered through BMW which are coming from Germany.

That looks great. I have a similar car that's been stuck in my garage for a few years and I'm working on getting it back on the road now.

I took it for an MOT recently, first one since 2010. It passed. Here's a pic from on the way home :D

Update time has come...

The exterior has been painted, plenty of work still to do though all the glass has to go in the front end and many other bits to go on.

Still not had a chance to take pics of the painted engine bay as it was covered but here is a few pics of the exterior although the paint is yet to be flattened and refined with the machine polish...

Behind the bumper stone chip protected and then painted over...
