E30 Zone

Hey guys...

I was browsing through my pics and came across some old pics.. of my previous e30.

i am at the moment restoring my bronze 325i, which i sold in 2003 and bought back last week (10yrs later).

I sold my car (bronze 325) to fund fixing up the blue converts as I had a thing for convertibles back then when younger

I wanted to know if anyone has owned or seen or knows what happened to this car:

Its a 1987 325i convertible (D823 LMG) but when i bought the engine was shot and it had damage to nsf corner, and suspension damage. BUT it had the rarest spec as had cruise control fitted and aircon which I had never seen on an 1987 converts...

I bought it for £250 like this:





I spent money and got the suspension and bodywork repaired along with a full respray then I set about sorting the engine, needed a rebuild as timing belt had snapped and etc etc... I remember as this car after the rebuild did not drink any fuel!! was bloody economical!! Do not know why or how... as my Bronze one always drank fuel!

I am really curious as to if anyone here has bought or come across this car...

also if anyone has a car with similar specs ie cruise control, aircon?? and if they can be fitted to a standard car without.

Bit random but hey i'm the e30 zone mentally right now...

If it was council ten years ago, it is now probably long gone. There is a DVLA website that you can use to check the status of turds.

I recently bought an '87 325 convertible with switchable auto, leather, factory air, OBC, cruise , headlight wash wipe, heated locks/mirrors/ washers and LSD They are out there but a 325 convertible was an expensive car, even before you started adding extras.

D823LMG is on SORN, so it's residing somewhere.
