Good isn't it
I'm actually in the process of getting a 10K agreed value on it for the insurance. Just need to get a signature and rubber stamp from a specialist on the paperwork and it should be sorted. I'm off to Munich Legends for an Oil service on Friday, so will get it done then. Last time it was in for a service, Barney said he was happy to do me a valuation.

Got my agreed valuation from Lancaster for a good figure, got Ron Parish to support the valuation plus with finding 'similar' spec cars currently on the market (in worse case of having to replace the Hartge) and the normal lost of photos all was ok. So bear in mind Ron, his opinion is highly valued (excuse the pun).

Ahh, sorry. Didn't realise it was a Football reference. It's all a bit lost on me as I'd rather insert red hot pins under my finger nails than watch a footy match

Hello ian(?)...that is a nice-o car! Ok...please describe what you have "mounted" on your e30. The engine...m88(?)/brakes?/suspension?
Please tell.....was it an "easy" job? Did you do it yourself?
Anders.

The engine is an s50 lump out of an e36 m3 evo
ian took me out in this car. i wont go into detail but i nearly crapped myself. It stops quicker than it accelerates. The car is completely flawless there is nothing left to do on it, and from the outside it doesnt look tampered with. The conversion looks like it came out the factory as did every other option that has been fitted
imho the best e30 on here bare a few pshycho m3's
a true masterpiece ian

318-is-......ok....as long as you didnԚ´t doo-doo in ianԚ´s car!-)
The suspension and brakes...are they also m3/e36?
Posted: Wed Nov 30, 2005 4:10 pm
by Dan318-is
suspension is bilstein shocks an HnR springs i think
brakes are unreal. I think the discs are suplied by some german company? mov-it or sumink? but they are huuuuuuuuuge drilled slotted bigger than my head
rears are uprated i think. whatever it is it fuckign stops it!

Anders,
You can see the full spec here. It's a bit old, but not much has changed, just added a few bits.

As engine conversions go, it was not that bad. Brake servo clearance was the biggest problem. It's all my own work apart from things like the Exhaust and propshaft.

m3ben05 wrote:WOW, amazing car Ian! are you taking it to the ring? What brakes are you using on the front?
Not sure about the Ring. I went back in September, but may pop over around Easter time.
The brakes are basically the same as you get on the front of a 993 Twin Turbo Porsche. The kit is from a German company called Mov'it who fit Porsche brakes onto most popular cars.
It's not a cheap conversion, and will only fit under a very small selection of wheels due to the size of the calipers.
Cheers,
Ian.
