E30 Zone

can anyone help in telling me if the prop and diff from my e30 conect onto the m52 2.8 box, or will i be able to use the e36`s prop and diff ?? so far i understand that i may have to shorten the prop or what not.. this is not a problem but after much research i have mixed info, also if you cant use the e36 328 diff,, why??
