Bought myself a 2dr calypso 316i, in good nick especially for the price i paid

First check out my old mans mates courtesy car from ferrari whilst they fit a new gearbox in his ferrari. Fiat 500 abarth ferrari edition

ANYWAY
the day i brought it home, i changed the wing mirrors instantly as they were grey rather then black luckily i had a spare set hanging around.

So decided to spray the grill, 600wet&dry, plastic primer & jet black paint

What's the plans? Looks well looked after, Calypso red is such a cool colour for an E30 2 door

The abarth is a belter of a small hot hatch. My mrs had one of the 1st essesee in Scotland and it was a tremendous little machine, it gave my corsa Vxr 888 a run for its money.

Anyway the calypso looks decent, needs some alloys though.

So went to car audio security in hayes to get some speakers for the front and some 6x9s for the rear shelf (Yes 6x9s :( im not a chav. the holes were already cut so i decided to fill them)

So parked up in the car park and my car looked like trash every other car had sweet wheels on it and me.. well i was rocking 14" hubbys wrapped in love you long time tyres

So got my speakers and got the hell out of there..

So next morning i had enough and decided to just fit my rims regardless to my car not being lowered

Image

This is the drop im looking to get after i stick a new lump in (engine will be a 318is, this is my first RWD so i dont want something too powerful where i could put others or myself at danger :duck: )

How low do you think this would be...

Image Image

So after fitting the wheels it was time for a wash and polish

Image

Image

Exterior To Do List:
-Colour coded bumpers with gloss black rub strips
-Colour coded SE side skirts
-New badges
-Spray rear indicator red
-Colour coded mirrors

Any further suggestions welcome

nice volvo/ is splitter on the front maybe :)

looks great dude, calypso is one of my favourite e30 colours,

also a nice rubber heck spoiler, or tech 1 would look nice aswell,

that drop is similar to how mine is, 80 rear and 60 front :)

but 60 rear 40 front wouldnt be far off either, cool project bud

Man up. My first RWD car was an E36 328i at 21. No traction control just 206hp (rolling road figure, 192hp stock) straight out to the rears...super mega fun. Although actually it wasn't as rear end lively as the E36 318iS (140hp) I had after it. Didn't bin either car though.

Anyway, it certainly needs a drop or some larger rubber, or both. Not sure I'd go as low as in your 'shop though personally. I like subtle drops myself rather than slammed looks.

Collected my winter wheels last night and spent all day fitting them today..

Calibre Vintage 17x8j
Image

The size difference between a 16 and a 17 inch wheel is huge 8O

Image

Image

So fitted the wheels pure madness had to go to halfrauds to get 5mm spacers for the front and need to buy spignots as the ones they had were too small

Image

i like the look of them.. what do you guys think

To do list:

With the front lower valance and SE sideskirts I would be putting a spoiler on the rear, Not Tech 2, but Tech1 or se.

An Alpina spoiler would suit better than both suggested.
