Nice car, looks very sweet, but Darryls M3 Evo is the best imho !!!! A better example than Darryls would be very very hard to find !!!!

Cannot find any links to his motor at the moment, but it got voted as 7th best BMW overall in UK by PBMW.

Only 7th

TBMW voted mine No1 in their Top 10 modified E30's chart. Mind you, Darryls E30 wasn't in that so I guess it doesn't really count

IMHO Darryls is certainly up there with the very very best

yep id have to agree with others, daryls is one of the best ive seen, aswell as ians., that one in the pic looks good but only cos of the conversion, the bodywork dont look all good.

What about Markus's 2.5 conversion running 275bhp without any turbos, engine changes or other crap. That car is a beast!

Daryl's M3 is also sweet as fcuk!

There are loads of others that id put above this one TBH, what about the original cecotto/revaglia group A DTM cars?

the best e30 with an e30 engine has to be darryls or indeed imho adams 328, the car looks flawless

as for best e30 with any engine, ians takes the biscuit. the thign hauls assss!! an stops uncannily quick

best e30 iv seen so far

looking at those photos on the underside of your m3 ,I will get photos of mine done you will not find any rust what soever the car came from italy and has been garaged in england all its life.

there will never be 1 or a single best e30, you could argue day in day out, but some will have an amazing engine eg kilander bros, best Q car ian332i, best posing car bootman, best original (albeit slightly modded) daryls, best for the track prisms V8 twin turbo .

dont know what i'd want mine to be taged with, quickest e30m3?? 13.9 1/4 is good, looking at pbmw i'm as quick as BUT's csl, and most e46m3 are in the 14's that they've taken to a thrach but wont allow me!!!!!
they hardly ever allow a privateer to turn up, ian 332i being the only exception. the rest get plugged but companies, anyway that gong off topic.

as i said its all to personal taste

1, yes
2, the redline is 7000rpm. those orange lights around the outside of the rev-counter, come on when the engine is cold, (you can see the temp gauge is still in the blue). they gradually go out as the engine warms up.
the last orange light, at 6500rpm, stays lit all the time as does the red light at 7000rpm.
you can rev to 7000rpm even when its cold, the orange lights are advisory.

that magazine is fucking council bollocks anyways. i dont read it. if there going to be like that then fuck them.

as for the best e30. well its not the m3 at the top. nice engine but it looks terrible with those mv wheels.

i think ians is one of the best. one of the main reasons being is that theres not a council mod insight. and its very mint.
