Here's a few pics of the daily driver. I've been tidying it up a little bit lately. Nothing major, just a new interior courtesy of the chav.

Next up is to tackle the bodywork. Generally OK, but needs a little tlc. Just ordered a new front valance and bumper off TPS. I'll fit that next week and in a month or two it's going to the body shop to sort a dent which lets it down a bit.

I'd dye the carpet black winkeye

Not a fan of the wheels though, some nice bottle tops would finish it off

Chav's dead baby, and now just a parts donor for other things...

Thankfully this didnt sell as the heap I'd bought as a replacement suffered catastrophic cambelt failure. You win some you lose some.

It's actually pretty solid, reliable and 100% in working order bar a loose connection on half the dash lights so I was a little surprised it had no interest.

Yeah yeah yeah the wheels. I quite like them really but, they're not my first choice fot this turd. They're only on at the moment because it was either those or the horrible steelies with naf BMW hubcaps that make it look too much like an old man's motor. hehe

I got a minty set of x-spokes to throw on eventually but half of them are still on a farm in North Wales and I haven't had an opportunity to retrieve them yet.

Chavster's engine is very much alive and well. Also still got my M30 and a solid E30 shell.

well remembered Mayze!! Nice to hear from ya mate.

Yeah I'm back on the Wirral, working in glamarous Bootle at the moment. Got a wicked job. 7am - 3pm Mon- Fri so I got a few E30 related plans for the warmer weather. Just trying to get a new pad sorted first, hopefully in the next month or 2..

Couple of things....

Decided that the wheels are staying for now. I like 'em so sod ya all u purists. Bought some lovely new yokohamas for the front for it's MOT. Grip aplenty, I'm really pleased with them. Will have to add the rears in the not too distant, but at least it's got another 12 months ticket, tax etc....

It's got a very slight issue that's mildly annoying if anyone's got any ideas? Occaisionally but not all the time, it hunts slightly when it's in drive with my foot on the brake.

Also want to give it a drop. I got a few sets of 325i lowering springs. Are they the same or do I need to get suitable 318i ones?

Some swine kicked my o/s mirror and snapped it in two at the weekend. Coonts.

So this evening I nipped down to the chav's resting place and nicked it's mirrors. They're not a perfect match but will have to do for now.

I took a few more pics while I was there....

Itching to get a bigger motor in there, but the 1.8 is my best option with the miles I'm clocking in it at the moment. Need to get another daily turd sorted out first..

The 1.8 isnt heavy enough for 325i springs.

Cut one coil of your original springs.

no amount of brow beating from the mrs will see the piped leatherz & motorsport rimz go to waste. The mounts were history a long while back though.. but it turns out the m30 ECU was superchipped, which found a new home for a mint.. I'll check the mm drop & PM you.. They're 316, but the springs are red :)
