Hi guys,

Been lurking on here for a couple of years, Thought it was time to get another e30 in my life! Bought from another local zoner!

I drove my cav around a few shows, And while she drives lovely and even better now with electronic ignition and a Weber carb I really wanted to go drag racing and drifting or have a go at a track day, i knew the yellow peril was not really up for it and i didnt wanna rip a fairly decent 30 year old motor apart so i bought this!!

She is my 7th E30 AND 12th beemer overall! i have a thing for them, But never had one like this before!

;D

The fleet being washed!

The interior has already been stripped out and panel"d the dash has been Flocked!!

Gratuitous bum shot!

Hidden under there somewhere is a welded up diff! Which makes driving... Ermmm Interesting to say the least!!

I need to strip out some of the wiring and wire in a dash mounted swtich for the fuel pump and cooling fans.

Im looking forward to having something to develop over a period of time shoud be fun!!

Stu.

The Cavalier is mine, Currently up for sale on car and classic as it lives in my lock up and the E30 Really needs to go in there! The T4 is mine also and there is a Rover 45 parked on the other side of the road! And we dont have a driveway currently!

Got her within tolerance though drives much better!

Not overly happy with the e36/30 steering rack linkage though!

Terrible i phone pics!
Linkage is about a foot long and rubs on the downpipes!

Further investigation required!

Uj rub might be fixed with firmer engine mounts. Have a look at the currently fitted, see if they are goosed. Burton do escort RS ones which I fitted and solved this prob for me. Saying that I had an e30 uj on a e36 rack. Might be different problem.

You should put the cav on the opel manta owner club for sale, should sell no probs.

Been so busy with studying and work have not had the oppurtunity to do much, Starter motor jamed so had that out and cleaned her up, Seems Ok now!
Had both engine mount replaced and the steering rack does not rub any more! :D
Have bought two sets of bucket seats from eBay... Too cheap it seems as have not managed to pry them from the sellers hands yet!! :x
Have two new front wings and a new front valance to go on.
Decided to have a play with the headlights and add a little more menace!!

Also fitted an aircraft style flick switch for the fuel pump that i previously had to attach by hand!
