My e30 325i Mtech II convertible...detailing..etc

Hello everybody, I would like to introduce you my car, which I have for like 1.5 years now. Sorry for my english, I`m from Czech republic, and I am not an english-native :-)

So first of all, I have a little story...

I was driving e46 330i Mpaket I for 2 years, as a daily car on Czech roads, especially on the prague`s ones. Than I realized that I do not want to destroy it on my short-trips, and I sold it.

I bought Seat Cordoba 1.9 SDi for everyday drive, and started to look for something more "special", to be parked in a garage.

I wanted to buy e46 M3, but it was a little bit too much expensive for me, I mean expensive to park it in a garage and use only for half a year, in a summer time...

I was checking the advertisements every day, and one day, I found this.

Image

And I was in love...

New body paint, a story about getting the car in "as good as new" condition etc..

Image

So I hit the road with my friend and went to buy it. It was 550 km from Prague to Poprad, different country, but neighbours :)

We met on a parking, and when I was going around the corner, where the car was parked and firstly saw it I was

Image

Image

So I bought it.....

The history of this car is a little bit funny :) Bought by German in Munich, than sold to Polish guy, who drove it to London where he sold it to Slovak brothers, who I bought it from in Slovakia :D

It was the end of summer, so I made around 1000 km with the car before the winter started.

We made some photos before the winter came...

Image

Image

Than I closed it in the garage and I was waiting for spring, to start working on the car. Do you ask why to start "working on the car"? ... It actually wasn`t in the condition which I though it was, and I knew that I really want it as good as new....

Plans were:

new transmission
shoret shifting from Z3
taking engine apart and make some work on it
etc..

So the spring came :-)

Image

Image

Image

Image

Some BMW genuine parts :)

Image

Image

Sperre..

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

its unbelieveable what people can do :confused:

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

shorter shifter :)

Image

Image

Image

Almost there!

Image

Image

Than I bought e34 M5, but it is a different story :)

Image

So in this condition, I drove it last season. I made around 8000 km with it, which is quite good, but there were still some thing missing in the car.

Some photos which we made during the last season:

New sealing

new parts

and some photoshooting again :)

Image

Image

With new injectors, I took it on the DYNO...

result: 157 PS :)

I am working on improving them now, during this winter.

So there are some of them...

new hella black headlights

Image

tuning pedals gone

Image

seats before renovation

Image

new door and roof sealing

Image

some other parts

Image

new antenna

Image

black carpet in plan- waiting for the chemical to do it

Image

and here we go

new horn knob- steering wheel center

Image

Image

and renewed wheel

Image

seats before and after

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

some details :)

Image

And that all for now. I am still waiting for spring to put some of this stuff into the car, new music is coming soon, I have to make a new paint on rear and front bumper etc....

so stay tuned and thanx for watching :) :D

Man, I think that only the shipping to england would cost you the same price of the new one :D ....

you can order it at any bmw dealer :-)

Some news...

Yesterday I was a little bit bored during the day, so I ordered a new suspension...

I bought H&R Cup-Kit... lowered 60/40. It should be as same low as it is now...

Image

And I have ordered new tyres as well...

Continental Contisportcontacts 3.... 205/40/17...

Image

And I am really looking forward to spring

Wow! Great looking car! Well done on making it look how it does now

I have the same wheels and i use 215/40 17 tyres. I personally think they look better than 205 tyres because 205 tyres stretch and it pushes the rim out, makin it prone to kerbing. 205's also look like they are the incorrect.
I used to have 205's but since changing to 215, i give this advise to all with these wheels

You just managed to spoil all your good work by putting that sticker on! The fact that you drive a 20 year old car is evidence enough that you love E30's :D

Good work, I'm enjoying you spending endless funds on your car!

Ok, I will see if the sticker stays or not after I will start using the car in the season... It sleeps for like 5 months already, and waiting for some better temperatures...but the spring is coming.. Almost :)
