Hi,
This is my missus and mine project car. A slightly impluse Ebay bid saw me and the missus head to Solihull to pick this up. A very original and unmolsted car with 152k on the clock. Full service history and almost all the mots. Great fun and goes like stink .Have not changed out of ecomony mode on the autobox.
Downsides to the car are, needs a new wing, work on both rear arches and some damage to rear panel. A full service, front brakes and cambelt to be done as well. So far one tyre has been replaced and the wiper arms due to spline wear.
Plans for the furture are to restore, maintain and enjoy the car. May get some smoked indcators for the front and sides and the better half wants some angel lights.
The car will be taxed and insured all year round as due to rural location we need a back up car. Here are some photos. Enjoy

Nice de chrome as well. Rare on a metal bumper car. As above. Looks a good base to start with. How bad are the rear arches?

Thanks for the comments
It is a factory de chrome and didn't realise it was rare.
N/S arch has a couple of blisters and a small pin hole is showing through. Hoping a localised repair rather than a panel replacement is needed.
Leather is immaculate and again is factory. Needs a clean and feed.
Will keep using it with roof down as much as possible through winter.

Cheers for the comments guys.

Plans for it are to keep it OEM and to make it mint. Needs a little TLC here and there. If the missus is not around i may go OEM+ :D

Short update The car has been sorned for a couple of months to get xmas out of the way. It is still taxed and MOT'd. Has been used reguarly. The work will have to wait to next year as i have no garage and i have to work outside. But a wedding and new business will also get in way.

Update.
Now she is being used for a 38 mile daily commute as i am waiting for payout on my written off 320d. This is my first E30 and more i drive it, more i like it. Has a few problems but nothing major and now i have my iphone wired to the stereo all is good. Downsides really are the sub 25mpg and the shock lock on the steering.

Thread revival. Still got the car and am looking to get this on the road. So what has happened in the last 2 years or so.
I managed to pick up another 320d and it went back to high/holidays car. Early summer 2012 I get a phone call, the BMW is over heating. Wife was told to park it and check coolant. Get another phone call, rac man says it is the fan. Ok drive carefully, kep the car out of traffic and moving. Next weekend I am skinning my knuckles fitting a new fan.
So next thing mot is due, (June 2012)ok let's chuck it in and see what happens. FAIL list is pretty long but basically it needs ALL brakes pipes renewing ( explains why the brakes were rubbish), front bottom arms, wear on inner rear tyres and couple of little things. Get car back and let's see if I can borrow my mates four poster ramp.
So 1 e46 320d, 1 zafira, 1 306, new driving instructor car, 1 baby ( youngest of 6) and new business start up later I am now looking at getting it sorted.
First thing I did was to wash the car as it had been sat on lawn for 16 months or so. It had been start every so often and moved once or twice. It is now back into the position you see in the picture, on a gravel drive. Body wise it looks the same apart from a small bubble above n/s light. Really want to get it on the ramp to see if the lawn has caused any rust/ corrosion issues. Started on key, as always, and I drove it back on to the gravel. Idle was poor until she warmed up bit, she got up to temp and auto box worked well. Though I thought that 325i came with a LSD. If so I have a problem as it is very good at spinning one wheel.
Pictures to follow.
