Better just to repair the front corners without replacing the jacking points as its them that cause the issue .

Nice work keep the pictures coming.

some nice metal work there

was that a full back panel you cut down or can you just get the lower half?

threads like this make me appreciate how solid my touring is

it does!! :D

yep had to buy a full back panel just for that lower section....its just a heck of alot easier and neater than making one, had to fab in a section for the number plate lights too, didnt change the panel cause i want it to look as origional as possible (body wise anyway)

thanks for all the comments cant wait to get to paint it!

plodding away with the bm ever so slowly

got all the filler work done, had to filler the rear arches as i distorted them doing the inners...origional outers anyway

Image

Image

Image

scuttle is solid
Image

arches got a good few coats around the edges
Image

welded a section in for the rear number plate lights...its actually joint along that edge.. i dont mean the lip!
Image

floor needed doing although it looked ok
Image

my mate had a e34 so i nabbed this off it
Image

flat surround on these ones so i had to get the hammers out
cut out the bad bit
Image

Image

then got this
Image

Image

so next hit is to clear out the car and paint inside the floor and the boot for starters...getting there

Lovely.

Red is just the best colour for Sports by miles. None of your Dullmond Schwartz of Lachs Character here!

Nice work here, I'll be spraying my front wings soon, if I'm correct that red oxide primer right? Just reminded my self I should probably do the same to prevent the inevitable!

Good work overall - Brilliantrot? winkeye
