I've just had mine sprayed and can wait to put it together ! not much progress on the turbo side atm though.

lol does dont it im well pleased at how she looks concidering me and my dad done the paint work i built the whole thing all my self including the engine no one else had touched which means ive got alot of pride and pleasure in what ive done mate

dont know what im gona do with the carpet yet obviously cant leave it blue not to sure gray will go really want it black but hen that mean silly dyes lol

I'm really interested see how you get on with the standard ECU, what chip/map are your running atm?

o no youve got it confused mate the engine is running compleatly standard at the mo altho the turbo is bolted on its only passing gases its not boosting at all

lol no mate ive made all the harness etc for the megasquirt out of a old ecu box so will be sort of plug and play as to say but electronics like that aint really my thing so when it comes to swapping every thing over i think im gonna give it to ant maybe to do if i can every get hold of him lol

Don't like the rear lights, but I like the rest of it! Looks great.. Self built is always a bit more special also.

there not in yet rav lol but will be by the end of the week them bloody adjusters cost me 50 quid from bmw lol but at least i know there new just gotta paint that metal strip below the grill then i can start fitting the front up lol dont worry your lights will get shown lol

get that front end put together and get some piccies up
Its a kick in the balls getting the adjusters from Bmw aint it

my bill came to £131 for adjusters and gromits. nice and fresh now tho

i got a full set of m tech clips for the skirts the grommets that go in the panels the white clips for the pods the adjusters the grommets for the head lights all of that was 115 quid
ive got a guy in bmw

i would be interested in a few details of your build especially how you ran the large exhaust 3'' ? down past the steering uj ?
also it looks like you have removed the idle valve ? how well is it running without it?
and finally did you modify the vacuum for the brake booster

yeah no worrys well basically i cheated a little with the exhaust i chopped the no 6 runner and angled it slightly more so it gave me more room plus i also modified the steering joint with 2 ujs and a bar i didnt use the standard joint
and a little fettling with a hammer on the tunnel
with out an icv it starts first time but hunts really badly when cold but only need a little bit of throttle and runs fine when its warm you dont even know its not on there
no vacuum is still coming off the same place as standard but have blocked the breather and the water lines to the throttle body
