I'll start from the beginning..of how my love for E30's came about and show you the progress I have made for myself..So sit back and enjoy the ride!

I was about 6 years old when my dad went out one morning and returned with this..
IMG_0001.jpg
IMG_0001.jpg
From that moment on I was in love with this machine!
I loved everything about it from the howl the engine made to the all famous "E30 smell" (which funny enough EVERY E30 i've been in since still smells the same! )

He sold it many years later and eventually bought another which was a baur convertible..
bmw4_zps2f395ba8.jpg
My uncle in Cyprus had spoke to my dad and decided he needed an E30 in his life too and bought a 325i Sport:
bmw3_zpse3127106.jpg
As you can see E30's were in my blood and soul from a young age..and from the day I sat in that black and chrome beauty I knew I would one day own one!

Fast forward a few years to the day when I finally had enough money to go out and buy my own Bmw E30.

Due to insurance and my budget the 325i that I wanted was a no no so I went with a 318is instead.
I'm happy I did in the end as it was the perfect introduction into the E30 life, just enough power and a hell of alot of fun!

Here is the day when I first bought it and the journey it took me on:

Now we move onto "Project Frankenstein" The story with this car is I bought it cheap as an already converted E30 with an E34 3.5i engine and gearbox installed..

I Use the term converted VERY loosely these guys didn't have a clue!!

I got pulled by the fuzz 6 times in one week, when I used to drive round in my E28 M5(How I miss that car  )

So I know how it feels.
But insurance was high at £3.5k for yr 1
And petrol was bloody cheap! :D

They both look nice and clean examples! Have you tried Adrian Flux for insuring the 3.5? I insured my E30 SR20 DET conversion allowing 250bhp with them last month for around £1200, and I've only just turned 22... certainly worth a try! But it helps to garage it and do less than 5k mileage a year for a bigger discount :)

@RustyRuss- Thanx mate, everyone who sees it comments on how clean it is..i try my best lol :D ill prob upload some more of these two as my own little mini project thread?

@polsta The car had them and the angel eye headlights when i bought it so i just left them on there, i kinda like the eyebrow look tbh.. :o:

Throttlrbodies are for the M30 in the E21.

Slight update..
My backbox on the iS has been knackered for ages now and i thought it was the right time to replace it with something with a bit more of a deep note..So I picked up a Scorpion DTM from BakedBean100 the other day and fitted it to the iS and what a difference it has made to the noise! :D :D Its not boyracer loud at all just the nice Deep note i was looking for!

I know it wont be to everyones taste but i really couldnt care less winkeye My car my way... 8)

Still contemplating wether to get rid of the tips tho :? hmm...thought id leave it on for a while and see what i think..
After a good clean up!
