nate that is a nice looking motor... how did you dechrome replacement trim or paint i'm thinking of just painting over the trim now as de-chrome kits seem to sell for silly money.

Nice looking motor mate, you wern't in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday.

I drove down the slip road onto the A14 the wrong way and a cop was directing traffic, saw a car just like yours.

It was truly embarrasing as I had been sat stationary for 45 minutes and crawled down to the roundabout, pulled away and my car belched out a big cloud of blue smoke and pinked a bit....

Alright mate,

You'll prob need a garage for this.

tape around all the chrome sills and start sandin down all the chrome, this gives a good grip for the paint. This is the most borin and time consuming part, but its all about the prep.

Then another boring part!! Maskin it all up, i used newspaper and loads of masking tape, also do a really good job here it all about prep.

People say to use special paint i used, halfrauds matt black (2 cans)
Primer aswell if your proper.

Then spray! Do loads of light coats.

And thats it really, oh and you might need some thinners/t cut for the bits you missed.

The results are awesome, your car will look ten years younger.

I just replaced all my trim. Got it all from a breaker for about Ԛ£30. the non-chrome is called shadow-line trim and its easy to push back on.

just bought a 325 throttle body do put on my 320, what should i be expecting in terms of performance?

mine feels like it pulls alot better but i dont know exactly how well it goes as i've just found out i've had the wrong chip in the ecu since i did the tb.i cant wait to get the right chip in it now and see how it really goes apparently you need a chip to get the most from the tb mod and ants the man for them

i had a 325 throttle body on mine, but took it off as the rubber bit that sticks on to it wouldnt fit, and it fooked up my afm. Got a 320 one and a new afm now and runs fine.

Didnt notice much of a power difference tbh, but maybe i had the wrong setup. I also have an alpina chip which worked really well gettin rid of the flat spots.

Did some driftin today! I love it when it rains

the rubber bits that didnt fit, were they on the windscreen side of the tb. as i was looking in mine and the 320 tb in there has got two connecting rubbers and the 325 tb on my desk has only got the connection for one.

whats 'afm' and where abouts in cardif are you, im in Roath

Alright mate,

Yeah i had trouble with that too, what you have to do is take the metal bits off the tb and then attach them.

But also the main throttle body bit didnt fit either! Thats what messed up my afm (airflow meter) this is the metal box connected to your air filter.

So ive yaken it off for now until i find the correct rubber bit. WTF is it called!!!????

I like down the bay mate! But my car is always parked outside fairoak road cathays (work)

Silver 320i 2dr. Shes lowered 30mm with SE skirts and M-tech II spoiler. Origional 15" BBS and scorpion backbox ( not the slightly gay DTM one either! :gay: )
