Looks like it was a clean example before its altercation! Nice colour though, get a new wing and door on and it will improve it greatly. Quarter panel and paint is the only real work. Interior will come good too. Good luck!

Cheers, dont think i will get a door and wing in the same colour, lol, but yeah, wing and door will make a big difference. I know someone who can pull the rear quarter out so hopefully will make a nice car once done.

never got to meet him in person he would not come round, he left his parents to deal with it
still waiting for cheque from his dad to clear

dont pay too much attention to the doubters, if the cars solid its well saveable and even a little rust shouldnt see you give up on it. I bought a sport in a lot worse condition than that and turned it into one of the best around. Shouldnt have sold it
Looks to be just panel damage and as long as the rear quarter is repaired properly will make a nice car. interior looks well and im a fan of this colour too. Top marks for sticking your neck out on this one.

What a chicken sh*t, having his dad give you a cheque, bet he wasnt too happy with that?!! Hopefully it'll clear all right.

cro320 wrote:the only thing to worry is that smashed rear quarter which could be difficult to fix proper
Yeah, thats what my main worry was. I was going to get the MOT and the VIC done and see what a panel beater says.
MurphyE30 wrote:good luck with this mate will be great to see it saved

Yeah, hopefully will be able to get it back to a good standard. Im going to chop the rear quarter off the red one and weld a new arch and sill to it and see if i need it or if i can repair the original panel that would be great.

Im sure you have have it mint when your finished m8.... not sure if it was the wisest financial move you will have made.
But if these cars where about common sense none of us would have one
I agree with the general feeling , better to see it put back on road than scraped
