the story so far.

had this nearly a couple of yrs now and done a fair bit to it.now it's time to enjoy it drive/ :D

Image

Image

the day i bought it,it had been parked up under a car port for 3 yrs and after adjusting a headlight aim it passed it's mot
Image
Image
Image
Image
alpina 16" RG reps acquired soon after
Image

and refurbed by me with polished centres spokes and lip
Image
now time for a few treats.
tech1 boot spoiler, fire extinguisher, rear headrest back seat and a shagging blind were soon sourced.
and some rear pop out windows were fitted.
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
it had an obc to start with [bonus]
Image
time for the arse end as it was a bit un predictable with goosed dampers so i was happy to get this lot.
boge turbo dampers and eibach -40mm rear springs
Image

the - 15mm mtech front set up is still good and fitted today.
don't want it any lower to avoid spoiler damage and i had an m40 turd that was lowered and i broke two sumps in that
one mineral blue rip
Image
Image

the engine had a tick from it that came and went but was mostly there so i bought this.
Image

seemed a steal with a new head and receipt for £1200 for work done inc parts.
i later discovered they never replaced the timing gear only a £45 chain was added!
resulting in another engine change more recently [6 weeks ago]
first engine change done in short time.
Image
Image
Image
added an m20 lightened fly-wheel with sachs clutch modded starter and e21 thrust bearing.
Image
refitting.
Image
also fitted fully working head light wash wiper kit.click for vid
Image
after the bad winter the polished alloy was ruined by salt etc and they were high maintenance so time for another refurb.
Image
Image
results are good in moondust silver, now only a quick wipe over is needed to keep them looking good.
Image
Image
Image
the tail pipe flew off the old exhaust system on the A19 so i bought a new one [rear section]
Image
i wasn't happy with the way the new tail pipe pointed to the side so i bought something more to my liking.
Image
Image
Image
but before this was fitted i had to do a more important job,i couldn't take the noise of that chain any longer!
the engine i fitted previously.
Image
SHARP TEETH!
Image
so i bought this from a decent chap.
Image
Image

after a look at it i was happy so thought i'd buy these to keep the juices flowing.
Image
smaller tech11 with leather horn push ;tounge;
Image
ok enough treats and time for some spannering AGAIN!
not forgetting to refit this of course.
Image
Image
Image
not much change here since last time.
Image
fitted.
Image
all looking a bit sad for itself :ermm:
Image

but not for long
Image

i have uprated the front brakes to grooved discs and greenstuff pads [no brake dust]with braded s/s flexis
chipped it,K&N pan filter, strut brace and lip splitter.i'm sure there is more but that's all i can think of for now.

now finished.

and time to enjoy

I admire someone getting stuck in with their car.

But just think, Mick took money off some poor kid when he sold those eyebrows, shame on you :)

Looks like you've had some serious fun with this one Mick. Wish I had the time and space to take my car off the road and do the things to it that I'd like to!

Haha yes I've crossed over to the dark side! Needed something a bit more usable for the 100 mile round trip to work every day! It's just a 318is - a total slouch if I'm honest!! I miss my e30.
