Perfect black for E30 today?? need good pictures

dear, friends
my car is now malachite green and want to full respray it.
I decide to choose black after compare with other colors.
But what black is perfect for E30, the color should be up date with bmw color today.
with good pictures it will help me a lot.
also I'm hear about uni black from bmw? anyone here know about this color?

I quite liked the black the guy used on the e30 cover car for last months Performance BMW magazine... iirc it's a merc colour?

Diamantschwarz (Metallic Black) is a good colour for an e30, makes the BBS look nice.

Quite agree, in fact it is the only black for an e30. In some light situations it has an almost purple hue. The only down side is shows every dent, scratch or bit of dirt. But when clean and polished it is a great colour.

Only one black for an E30 in my opinion, Diamantschwarz. It just looks so "right". Cant beat it and when its all polished up and sitting in the sun it has gorgeous purpley/greeney colours running through it.

I don't like DS and my car is that colour! It's too "charcoally" not a strong black and certainly not inherrently "flip"
Some of the newer BMW's have Blacks with hints of blue in. That would look good.

Painted my E30 sport DS but i used a dark shade to make it a stronger black.

charcoal black i think was the e46 colour and was a bit blue with reflections........
DS is a bit "grey"...if it was DS originally, then stick with it, if not, the worlds your oyster
have a look at black sapphire metallic

+1..my car is diamond swartz but i don't think its such a strong black either.
this pic makes me want to go gloss black all the way

The are a few options from the current Individual range:
Ruby Black Metallic (Ruby tint)
Azurite Black Metallic (Blue tint)
Diopside Black Metallic (Green tint)
Ruby would be my choice.

Another vote for gloss, I've had DS and always wanted gloss, my mate had an SE at the same time as I had mine, his always looked better no matter how much I polished it.

Its almost Ruby Black, Its Diamond Swartz with a hint of Blue
Looks cool with the sun shining on it.

Porsche did a black in the 90's too, which had a silver/gold tinge to it, but when standing straight on it looked BLACK , at angles with light it turned into a deep brown.

We had a black new MINI with a bluey tint to it in some lights, think it was called Astro Black - looked very smart.

Saying that, my Mum's Mini is Cosmos black and that is a lovely colour.

Ruby met black is my choice at the mo..although gloss black is tempting!
found a list some of us might find helpful..most bmw paint codes listed including individual colours? Sorry my german isn't up to spec!

Fresh diamond from the spray gun is pretty dam good. Everyone is used to looking and 20 year old f**ked paint hence the dullman tag

My first choice is
RUBY BLACK S23
and second is
AZURITE BLACK S34
which paint bmw official? spies or sikken? does it has great different quality and image between 2 brands?
