E30's from Portugal... (316i and 320is - italian model)

Hi!

I've just registered, and this is my first post. I live in Portugal, and forgive me if my English is a little bit rusty :P I'm 26 y.o. and since my 18's allways had E30's.

I use to say that they only have one big problem. When you have them you don't want anything else besides E30's

I started with a 316i edition 1990 wich i'm still in the process of make it look like I want to, 80's style...

The engine is almost stock, with the exceptions of the Supersprint manifold system and a K&N filter.

The suspension i've spent some money with it (security above all). I have lower M-tech springs (from the 320is) with Koni Sport adjustable, Front and rear tower strut bars.

Brakes are standart since it has ABS and 4 discs because it's a edition model. When I feel they don't behave good enough to me I'll change the to some better things.

My summer wheels are RH (from the year 1990) with 205/55/15' Michelin Pilot Sport. Winter ones are TSW razor (same tyre width) with Michelin Pilot Exalto.

The exterior has and still unfinished M-tech II kit wich i plan to end some time soon (I didn't buy all the pieces in one time, I search in old cars, etc). I've putted Xenon lights in it to clear my noight vision :D

The interior got an M3 E30 1986 leather seats and a m-tech II steering wheel.

My future plans are to finish the body kit and keep it to look new... Here comes the pictures now!

At some portuguese tuning show, the girls seemed to like it

My other E30, a 320is one, i just bought recently. It only worked at GPL(sorry I don't know the translation), and was in a little bad shape. So it comed cheap and with a lot of work attached to it :clin:

I've managed to get it right in about some months (well not allways working on it) and now it's almost to go have some new paint.

The engine is stock with just and K&N filter and full Supersprint exhaust by now...

The suspension with Eibach springs, Koni Sport adjustables, front and rear strut bars.

Brakes have goodridge steel (?) lines.

The interior has recaro seats i think, with electric sun curtain in the back!

The exterior will remain stock since it brings the full m-tech II body kit and I will only add some 16' wheels.

The future plans to it is to add some more horsepower to the stock 192 and use it has my weekend drive to have some fun

So what engine does the 320is use then?

The 320is features a detuned version of the 2.3 L S14 M-Power engine to 2.0 L and 192 horsepower. It was available in Coupé form with factory fitted M-Tech II bodykit or Sedan form with optional M-Tech II bodykit. They are very rare around 2000 Coupés and 1000 Sedans were made. It was only sold in Italy and Portugal due to high taxation on engines over 2 litres.
