Why is it a scrapper? From what pics have been posted I havnt seen any serious rot or damage. Regardless of colour, there are plenty of people out there after a straight rot free shell, even if it is afflicted with a sunroof winkeye

Best colour imo and it looks like there is less rust on that than there is on most of the turds people have on here. Door cills are good as are the rear arches. Dent master type dude should be able to fix the small dents on the nsf wing and rear panel.

It has light wipers and they are worth a good few british pounds.

I have a rust free sunroof panel for a bronzit if you want it and I know where there is a rust free bronzit boot. Let me know if you are wanting to replace that one.

If E30's were rare i would see your point but to get this back to a nice car you would need to spend as much money on it as a decent E30 would cost in the first place.

Of course its rusty prehaps not very rusty but pictures can hide a world of sins especially when the cars a rust type colour in the first place.

Waste of time if you ask me frag it and move on

Pac thats just wasteful.......I would rather spend the same money you spent on an extra headunit, on fixing up an E30 like this. It would end up being a lovely looking car.

It looks to be a very solid base. And could with not a lot of money be made into a lovely car. 8)

Good luck with it. :thumb:

Go look at what people are spending on panels and repair work before you think a straight rust free shell is worthless (if it is straight and rust free of course) :)

If he wants to he could go and buy a rusty sh1tter of a 325i with all the bits to bring this one back to life

I very much doubt that matey I've been over mine with a fine tooth comb, any way even if the shell is good that don't change the fact that for what it needs spending on it you could buy a good E30 with a good body any way

pac it's not your car-you've not even seen it,I however have seen it today when dropping off an se carpet at Pauls.this car has a very solid shell and would be a crying shame to make into toasters.

i did rape the headlight washer system while i was there though :D

i even replaced the parts for a standard set up as part of the deal so it's still a complete car.

any one needing a good shell or base model to play with this is a goer.

still needs a front pannel, wing, boot lid, dash....... then there's filler work needed on 1/4 and front wing. its not axactly a common colour and needs a re paint.

:wtf: I thought you guys were supposed to be E30 enthusiasts?

That car needs max £150 spending on it, and I would put money on it ending up being cleaner than most E30's left on the roads.

Pac if I ever see you car and its not minty (as you describe) you will forever be a hipercrit in my eyes. :P

kos the shell itself is a good one,it's lacking in many departments spec wise but a solid shell =
a good project for a basis.
the areas you pointed out are changeable.i checked out the sunroof panel [from the outside]and not a blister 8) the valance can be put straight it's solid and not that bad.

i dont need it but i have looked at it.

You could easily make that car in a presentable condition.

£40 would get you a comfort interior,
£20 would get you a valance, plus a tenner for some spray paint,
£10 for some E30 wheel trims,
£10 in materials to tidy up the boot lid,
Then whatever's left to sort the electrics, if you know how.

See there you go not much money and you've got a tidy daily runner. 8)

£10 to sort the boot lid out ? come off it mate, boot lids rotten. needs a new bootlid and proper paint paint. the front valance you could get away with a DIY job as its got stone chip finish to it.

i've bought clean staight cars, complete with 12 months MOT in decent colours for under £400.

i dont see what all the excitements about to be honest.

If it didn't turn into a hole its easily savebale. I agree if it goes to a hole then it will be more expensive.

I just think its a shame to scrap it for petty reasons. Its harder than you'd think to get a cheap E30 now.
