Hi All , Here are the first set of pictures I did when I got the car on the 22/12/09 the pictures where taken around xmas time after a good clean and polish ,the car had been neglected for awhile it was really dirty inside ,fag ash dust all over the back area .
There is the usual rot on the drivers front wing and alittle on both rear archs but nothing major , unfortunately since we had all the snow it has got a little worse so I hope to get it in the paint shop in the next few weeks then it will be pretty much ok .
Iam hoping the roof will hold out for another 12 months its not to bad I have a Renovo cleaning kit waiting to be used just waiting for better weather.
Neon Green does not photo very well ,looks so much better in the flesh.

Cheers Steve.

Thats nice, its good to see one which is original, when I got my cabby. the drivers wing was shagged as well, sounds like this is a common rot spot.

Thanks for the postive comments and 5hit you people are good you go over with a fine tooth comb!! I never noticed the indicator thing but yes it does have a pair of front indicators ,see the camera does lie !! . I have some rear headrests on order to do a mod to the rear seats should be here next week.
Its my first E30 so Iam learning all the time mostly from this forum , just hope the weather gets better soon so I can get the roof off and have some fun .

Cheers Steve.

Have you managed to source rear headrests with neon green piping around the edges? You might find it looks a little bit messed with if you're fitting plain grey ones :(

Yes I know what you mean but my local main dealer in Milton Keynes says that the company who supply BMW have a pair that match the part number for neon green rear headrests ,if it turns out to be true it will be a massive stroke of luck another specialist told me they are like rocking horse poo!! . They are costing £141 all in ,I hope it does work out because cabbies look just that bit more classy with 4 headrests with 2 I think they look a touch unfinished, just my opinion of course.

Well my main dealer in Milton Keynes came up trumps with the Neon Green rear headrests ,could not believe my luck the dude in the parts department reckons they will now delete the part number as they were the last 2 on the stock list ,anyway here is the before and after shots and I must say it looks so much better with them fitted . Easy job to half an hour start to finish .

Such a great colour, only 50 Neon Green Design Cab's came to the UK (I believe)

Any progress with the project ?
