Boring 318i :)

Right then.
This is my un-souped up, gubbins free, original 1990 318i Lux. I also believe it's what people round here call a 'chromie', which I think refers to the wheels (I'm a newby at all this so any help is appreciated!). I don't care about getting new wheels for it but i'm looking for some new BMW roundels to go in the hubs, and I plan to sort out the few dents and scratches it has.
Please be nice!
Cheers

Hi,
You can buy the roundels at any BMW dealership. Go to parts department tell your Vin number and they will give you the right size roundel.
Your 318i is a very good shape be proud of it.

No no, a chromie is a pre-facelift E30 with chrome styling, mainly the bumpers.

Your car, which is very nice btw, is a facelift model.

Aha. right. Why do I get the impression these chromies are inferior? Is it purely aesthetic? Cheers for the support

If its just the centre badges your after, they are about £1.30 each from BMW. If its the chrome centre caps as well, then they are about £10 each from BMW.

Why wouldn't we be

Because it's not a 318is or an M tech superbastard, I thought it may be scoffed at. That and my lack of knowledge, such as thinking it might be a chromie
Cheers everyone!

Not everyone is obsessed with 318is' or "M Tech superbastards"

there's a good mix of people on here who like completely standard cars through to heavily modified stuff.
Nice unmolested car by the look of it - not many left that havent been got at.
As for lack of knowledge you've come to the right place to sort that !
Welcome

Thats a very nice original car in a very nice colour. Just pop some 15" BBS's on it and it will be perfect.

I've not taken any interior pics myself, but these are the ones from Auto Trader where I picked it up from a couple of months ago.
I'm hopefully going to convince my mum to fix the split in the upholstery as in the first pic. As far as I know everything is original, apart from the radio. I don't commute by car so got it as a cheap weekend car. The cost of it, plus three days in the garage plus classic car insurance and it's come out cheaper than a 'new' second hand car without insurance

.
Also, I don't care about the bottle top wheels, I love it how it is!

It looks very clean.
You may well be able to pick up an undamaged drivers seat in the same trim for not much cash if you put a wanted thread up on here.
