My Old 86 325i Chromie

I've had a far few E30's, possibly in the region of 40+ , but this one was the first the one I owned.

I bought it off my Uncle back in 1994 for the sum of £3500 8O, my Dad and Uncle bought 2 BMW's of a chap, the 735i was his and the 325i was his wife's and a deal was struck to buy them both for about 9k. My uncle had it a few years and growing up with various BMW's, I wanted this one................

Image

Above was with one of my Dad's E30's, a highly specced up 85 320i, it had everything you could wish for and more 8)

More of the the 325i when I got it......

Note my Dad's JBA falcon kit car....

Minty mint interior 8)

It only had 65k on the clock :D

I regrettably sold for £4k it to my best mates Dad, he was due to retire and wanted a nice car to swan around in retirement, shortly before he was due to finish it got written off by a him skidding on black ice and he went under a HGV :( :(

He was fine but the car was unrecogniseable and I had a mission on my hands with the DVLA to retrieve my number plate off his car :-x

It made way for my Sport, which to this day I still have 8)

I then bought this as a trade in at BMW Mcr.....

Image

It was a 318i, nothing fancy but it was cheap and I used it for work and left the Sport at home 8)

This came along shortly afterwards, again it was a trade in and I got my mitts on it, truly a minter with plenty of toys but it was let down by the auto box and it being a 320i SE :?

I sold it to a friends friend, who again wrote the thing off, he ripped the sump off and the engine seized, too costly to repair and the SE was scrapped

I then picked this up, a long story behind it and little time....

This was mint, it originally came from Premier BMW in North Wales,it was the dealer principal's wife's car and again most option boxes were ticked 8) The original number plate was G321 JCC, it was too good to be a 3rd car and to use it for the tip etc, so I sold it to a nice home near Mow Cop in Congleton.

A few from Donington back in 96/97 :?

The white Sport was purchased by my work mate, he left the company and I don't know what happened to it :?

I wonder if these are still going.........

Image

This is what made me park the Sport up for a long time -

Image

I bought it brand new at Christmas 2001 :P Then chopped it in for my Golf GT TDI 6spd in black which my ex girlfriend still has winkeye and they both still go well winkeye

As you can tell I've just worked out how to scan old pictures :o: I've got boxes full of pics and so has my Dad, I need to have a rummage a find some more

Alex, if you look closely on G331 VNB, the number plates have the original Williams logo on the bottom.
