what does welding the coolant channels do?

Lovely looking car and I love the paint job. :cool: :cool:

Not that the engine escapes attention and I really like the way the large bore exhaust is downswept and subtle.

Strengthens the head around the water channels.
Which is a weak spot on the M20 heads.

Far out!!

Good stuff. I have the same 2.9L kit in my E30 and though it boogied along alright as an N/A engine. I couldn't imagine it with a spool attached.

Hopefully it brings you many years of troubleless driving.

Correct =) And thanks
You can see how the coolant channels are shaped differently in the head and engine block. You also see why this is an weak spot when laying a headgasket over the head.

Thanks for all the feed back guys =)

I have no films of the car newly sprayed and with the new engine in action. I'll update you guys after som track days :)

This is a film old film clip from a previous owner

Thanks =)

Have also orderer K-Sport coilovers, so I'll keep you guys updated with pictures when all parts arrive. Realy hope the new M21 oilpump will give better oilpressure at low rpms on warm engine.

What sort of oil pressure do you have at the minute at low RPM?

appletree wrote:What sort of oil pressure do you have at the minute at low RPM?
Have rigth under 1bar(14,5PSI) @ 1000rpm/75-80°C(167-176°F) after some rounds on trackdays. I'll think around 2bar is more normal. So i had to have 1500rpm idle speed to have good oilpressure

I'll also buy a new oilpressure gauge in case the gauge lies.

wow that is something else :D

like bss325i said you can go upto 3.1 with the m20 with the parts from these guy's

http://store.nexternal.com/shared/Store ... =683372139

or how about a "full house" m20b32?

http://www.metricmechanic.com/pages/met ... videos.php

anything is possible if you've got the balls to do it :D
