I hate to say it but that 'minty mint' E30 you have there is probably rotten at the front of the footwell. And to find out where the leak is from you'll have to remove the carpet - what fun!
Looks nice though! So does the Renault 5 - I would love to have one, but most are shagged or chavved up and I don't have space for more cars. But yours looks lovely!

I'd be very surprised if it was the footwell that was rotten? Best to lift the carpet though and have a look - all the plugs for the looms go through this side - hopefully it will be something simple could be running down and just gathering at the lowest point - looks a bargain to me

Yeah Im going to have a look under the carpet, I did have a poke around under the car where the foot well is and seems solid.
Gt turbos are great fun cars but get a bit much if your using them daily.

Theres no rust in the footwell but did notice a hole in the door seal see bottom of picture. The car had been sat for a couple of months also so may just be condensation building up.

Looks damn sweet in that pic, I'll give you that! lucky man! But take my word for it - don't dig with a screwdriver or remove that soundproofing, or you might be suprised!
Every 'mint' car I've seen has been gone there once you've dug at all
If I was you, I'd leave the carpet peeled out the way and let it dry for a few days and see if you get a puddle on the floor again.

Also nice R5GTturbo, i was a fan of these in the mid 90's (i had two) very very fast cars but did seem to fall apart a lot.

What are the symptoms ??
Cracked or damaged vaccume hoses?
Re:

It seems to be just a bit uneven and vibrates on idle but as soon as you rev it, its fine. Sometimes the revs take a while to settle back down. Ill put up a video tomorrow will be easyer than explaining. Also if the cam timing was slightly out could it cause these symptoms as it seems quite underpowered under 4000rpm than after that it shoots in to life??
Things Ive checked/done.
Sprayed carb cleaner around hoses etc,
Checked hoses,
cleaned ICV,
Checked and cleaned MAF.

Ive just checked this morning its all dry under the stereo would that rule out the matrix leaking, I take it its hard to get to? It is still abit damp under the carpet on the footwell also its been in my workshop for the last 2 weeks so no rain has got on the car.

Its not a very exciting video but this is it when its idling. The rev counter stays pretty steady but just seems a bit lumpy.
