E30 Zone

The E30 made it's way into the BMW body shop at David Holmes last Wed, they started work on it late Fri afternoon....

The worst bits are -

And the famous scuttle panel -

I think I've got away lightly, I was fearing the worst when the kit was removed, I had a vision that I could see right through the car with the kit removed

Under the N/S door -

The wings are repairable but I've opted for 2 new wings @ £155 each

and several little finishing touches like new grilles/ kidney grille/ number plate surrounds/ wash wipe nozzle/ scuttle vents and a big bag of clips and screws

You must be mad Kieran.
David Holmes if Im not mistaken.
Tin worm isn't the worst Iv'e seen under the kit.
My arch, just fell to bits on my msport cab when I remove just one piece of the dreaded kit.
Quick repair and sold for me, I wouldn't dare remove any more sections.
I'll keep an eye out for the results.
Check the panel match's, I wasn't happy when they did my chrome cab.

Yep David Holmes.

It will be staying put until I'm 100% happy with it, I don't care if takes 6 months !

I'm an anal sod and will only be happy when it's 100%, it's costing me a fortune and I expect the best

Kieran has been down to my place in this and i dont blame him for spending on it, its worth it.he is a perfectionist they should be honoured to work on it

I'll bring it over so you can have a look at the exhaust when it's done, I'm actually missing the sound whilst it's in the bodyshop

Small update......

It needed a few bits of welding, not much but I decided to have it all done whilst it was stripped bare -

New jacking points

And a new piece in the rear valance -

It was being prepped as I was leaving, I'll be back on Fri

WOW Kieran this is awesome. I know its costing you an arm and a leg, but its bloody fantastic quality of work, done in quick time!

Mine needs the scuttle and bit doing on the rear valance under the towing hook. Anyone have a ballpark figure real quick, dont want to hi-jack.
