The ebay pic, didnt look promising but for the price it was worth the trip! even if it was a shed (but its not as you will see!)
On trailer ready to come to telford
Few exterior shots after polish
Bumpers not polised or blacked as they will be going white, so trying to keep the as clean and cleanig product free for spraying!!!
Leathers
Clean boot, needs vac!
Good bodywork
120k Clocks
Bad bits so far!
Arches slight rust, surface not rot
Lots of small touch ups

2 big dents in bonnet

Ok been a while since ive posted but alot has happened to the car!
Since the last post
*New drift bbs 14"s
* The original 1.8 8v carb'd engine has gone, as chamber 1 valves bent during a head gasget change
* M42 318 is lump has been put in, leading to a load of problems as it wasnt such a straight forward swap as i thought.
At first the engine was put in with new
***Loom
***ECU
***Gearbox
***Rad
Ended up in a two week dely because of
***Having to modify loom to original chassis loom
***Adding a fuel return to tank and finding an 'inline' fuel pump with switch and cutoff fuse (carb'd engine had mechanical pump)
***Fuel tank breather needed a 't' piece adding for the returned fuel, as the sender unit only accomodated an outline
***Modding Rad mounts
***Modding Coilpack mounts
***Modding washer bottle position
***Modding Subframe to accomodate new engine mounts slightly
***Modding gear box anti vibe ring and prop (m10 was longer prop)
***Modding exhaust from m42 manifold to m10 center box
Lis is bloody endless
Just shows engine swaps arnt as straight forward as they seem

Worth it tho in the end|!
I have a few pics to put up for yall soon

Ok pics
As i said before i replaced the m10 for a is lump, pic f the m10 stripped, when i was doing the head before thinking of replacing
Then ripped it out as a cheap lump came along!
New lump
New vs old
Quick tidy up
Dont have any pics of it in im afraid, but since thhe engine went in its had a new subframe and is having an e36 lower ratio 318is gearox

quciker acceloration ftw!
Also been buying m-tec striped goodies!
( and before any one notices, i know the gator stripes are in the different direction to the genuine h/brake cover - i dont care, still looks good

)
I <3 m-tec
And ive put my breyton lower skirt on! (unpainted but looks ok as its white and the cars filthy hahahah)
and de-chromed the kidneys!!

started rear bumper, hidden exhaust and no tow eye in breyton rear skirt!
and i got a mtec 2 rep rear spoiler and took away the lower part so its a single unit, now smoothing where it sat
win!

not much to see really, just m3 engine mounts, same shape as 318is, but theres a slight difference in were the engine sits (apparently)
thay are bloody hard tho! its like driving with solid mounts! lots of vibration
