My 320i Touring, just keeping tag on costs!
Mot and Parts = £120
Gearbox fitting =£200
Control Arm Bushes = £20
Car = £670
After a quick wash and polish thought i would take some pictures before i(if i) sell her. I have had it about 3 months and love it but it could do with more power like most 320s or maybe a manual conversion. Since ive had her i have had a new autobox put on and it was leaking water but i finally found it was a pipe going to heater matrix to my relief. For mot it had back brakes and hand brake shoes and a brake pipe which i did not thing was too bad for a 20 year old lol. She is a solid bus with a full mot, how much is it worth in todays sorry market?
Im keeping tabs on how much i spend on her if i decide to keep her but with a baby on the way i cant spunk money on a car like ive always done lol

Looks like a solid one from the pics however in todays market its probably worth maybe a touch more than you paid for it thanks to the full MOT but nowhere near the sum total of what you've spent on it.

Shame you didn't spend the £200 on a manual conversion rather than a replacement Auto box - you'd probably have widened your potential buyer audience.

I dont know if to sell it or not, i drove my friends V6 Vectra back from the pub the other night and loved the extra oomph and manual! which surprised me as i hate Vauxhalls! i keep thinking i might whack it on ebay but i really cant be bothered with cocks coming and wanting to pay £200 for a 20 year old car! arrrrrrrrgghhh why is this car not manual and 2.5 lol! sod it im ganna sell and see what it goes for!

Yes. Sell it, and use the proceeds to invest in a 325 MANUAL Touring. Depreciation on the Boxall will render it worthless in no time while, providing you keep up the maintenance - easy - and continuously improve the Tourer - with cheap stuff off Fleabay and the scrappies - you will have an appreciating classic that you can appreciate.

I've had two strangers stop me and offer to buy my Tourer. Nobody will look at you in a Boxall - even if it is a V6.

Straight sixes are where it's at: I've got two of 'em. But sorry - the other's in my XJ 4.2C.
