Bargain basement e30 project

...Picked it up today from manchester with a nice steady drive back over woodhead pass then down the motorway with no problems, picked it up T+T of the dreaded bay for a few hundred quid woooop how do i tell if its a lux? and does anyone know if a cabrio windscreen will fit...

I think it would have front fogs and alloys if it were a lux.

fogs, but maybe not alloys, would have thourght the cab windscreen would fit as i have a spare touring one i keep for my cabby and it looks identical

Oi! I had my eye on this one but didnt wake up in time to have a bid!

Looks good though, Lux models had a bit of a random spec but most had pinstripes down the side (think I can see them in the pics) and the small heckspoiler was common. If you've got a 6 button OBC as well then it's probably a Lux.

Either way looks a good solid car for the money, well done!

Ring a BMW dealer and give them the VIN they'll tell you :)

cab screen will fit, but it will have the rear view mirror mount stuck on it.

Plan is to fit some new wings, address a few rust "issues" then spray both sides then i cant decide whether to go for old skool 15" bbs (RA's im not tha flush at the minute) and is splitter or whether to go for my teenage dream... *cough* 17" alpina reps and mtech 2 kit.

Dependant on how solid she is i may drop a 6pot in her at xmas.
