new cab, new drop and wheels UPDATE 29/10/09 (all on page 1)

by E3OBM
hi, picked this 325i cab 2 days ago to be my winter past time.
99k miles, diamond shwartz black, 17" azev a with new tires. mtec 1 bumpers and spoiler. genuine red leather, dropped silly on the rear, dont know how much. fronts ok, mtec 2 steering wheel. T&T,
been stood for 3 years in a garage, hood is clean but no rear screan, thats why the interior is very dirty.
plans are:
mtec 2 kit
black hellas with HID kit
scorpion exhaust
borbet B alloys 9j all round
colour coded hardtop
full respray in jet black
better suspension so it sits right
german plates and surrounds
clean up leather interior
so mtec 1 bits are for sale, azevs are for sale.
swap for any bits listed above in my to do list
update 18/08/09
got a new hood of another car and put it on.
also had a spare set of azev a 9x16, so put them on for now as i sold the 17" azevs. still hunting for borbet b wheels. im also looking for 60mm springs for the front as i think it needs a little more drop
UPDATE 24/08/09
been very busy on the car for the last 3 days, prepped, painted and fitted my kit. smoked the front end out. fitted wash wipers on headlights. prepped, treated and fitted my interior back in. its coming along now but by no means finished yet, still got a long way to go. interior looks a lighter shade in pics but it is the original colour, looks alot better in the flesh.
update 18/09/09
hi, been taking it easy on the car, only done a few bits, firstly got a new plate for it. put the scorpion exhaust on, tinted the rear lights. and im still looking for 60mm front springs. i will get all round pics tomorrow once i have cleaned it up a little. hope you like the plate
update 29/10/09
not much done to it really, just lowered the front end and put a set of borbet A's 9x16 all round. (still looking for borbet B's)

body is more or less mint, no rust etc. i prefer my jet black as shwartz black looks dark greyish colour,
this is one I done 2 years ago. looks alot better i think in jet black

I hope that red leather comes up nice - looks like it will. Red leather is the business! Looks like a tidy car - have the brakes had any attention since it came out of storage? I'd make that number 1 on the list if not.

the guy had the mot done in june, so he spent a bit of money on it. i drove it back to birmingham from essex, drove fine although the temp needle rises in traffic, but i think that is the viscous needs changing. temp is fine on the move only in traffic rises. heat is fine

Nice base car, looks nice as it is
Look forward to seeing the updates, no doubt it'll be a stunner once you've finished with it (going by your previous E30's

)

Does it have the red horse shoe too?!
Bring the colour of the leather back - the contrast with the black will look amazing!!!

They'll look good when you've done them.
A few people on here have managed to make their Red leathers look new.

Not 100% on the colouring stuff, keep thinking it'll go back to black after a couple of months

furniture clinic is the best place. easy to do, just takes a little while though. well worth it compared to re-trims

plenty of them, always say its the last one, but soon as i sell one i end up getting another to project. best to buy a base car and do it up yourself rather then buy a nice done up one as you get bored quickly with it.
