Cheers Imys. I do miss driving the Sport TBH, but there you go. I take it out every couple of weeks to stretch her legs

You certainly know the difference between a 4 pot and a six...
I saw one of the old minis last week at my local garage. How small are these cars

. My Mini was parked next to it and made mine look like a people carrier lol

Yh they really are small. Its not completely to an advantage though as trying to do engine work on it isnt easy, everything is so tight in and compact in their.
I can relate to you in terms of handling as mine is like a go-kart aswell. Mind you, humps are a complete and utter nightmare!!

Just out of interest how much is the tax,a friend from work bought one for his daughter and was advised that the earlier models was expensive to tax compared to the later. He did explain why but can not remember now.

I think cars registered after 2001 are issued into categories according to their co2 emissions.

Cheers Alex. Yeah. Sunny days and shows now. Too nice to be driving it everyday.
As for the detailing, just something I enjoy doing. You get better with age lol

The return is superb. There's not much in it between the Cooper and the One Olie. As for the drivability - Unreal

Hi Ritz
It's a big change, but slowly getting used to it. The ride is a little hard as it's riding on 205/45/17 compared to the 15" BBS on the Sport.
I took the Sport out on Sunday for a drive. It was great getting behind the wheel again.
The sound of the straight six -lovely.
Jhonno I'm quite surprised at how much poke this Cooper has. Very nippy indeed and enough torque as well. Fun cars with a superb return - what more could I ask for.

£79 - six months
£145 - 12 months
If that helps

I'm not comparing them to cars of this era.. but the old mini. Now that's mini.

Nice cars mate (the sport is awesome).
I like the new mini's they go well, and are very comfortable in the front, in the rear its a different story poorly designed for rear seat passengers. (Every 3rd week, I get the short straw and have to do a 60 mile round trip in the rear of one!).
I had one when my old car was in for a service throughly enjoyed the drive.
Not to keen on the non cable driven accelerator though.
BMW have done really well with the mini they are easily 'individualised' from the factory with many swapable trim parts.
