Yeah, my friend got a Golf GTI just to compete with me, its his first car as well so he's gone all out on his insurance just to keep up. The character of my 20 year old car clearly inspired him too.

Get some 'smiley' headlights fitted, looks funny without them!
Nice looking car though - doesn't look like it's been molested!

Only things that have been done to it (done before I bought it) are its had a Sebring backbox fitted and some kind of tacky door lock pins.

Yes in diamond black, but I think I get what you mean, it does look a bit like flat black. It comes up as an iS on AskMid etc.
Is it metalic black ParksofBathgate?

Yes its metallic, the service booklet says Diamond/anthracite

Well the is is 5mm lower than the 318i as standard I believe, other than that I think its just a bit old and saggy.

175k miles and the fact that it was sold by someone who probably thought it was the same thing as a 318i made it so cheap.

I don't know if any of you guys have this problem... but every time I go somewhere, someone tries to buy the car off me.
I thought I got a parking ticket the other day but it was a note left under my wiper saying "am interested in your car"
A couple of days before that someone in another e30 stopped the flow of traffic though Lincoln city center to get out and come and ask me if I was selling it.
Also the day I took my mate to get his golf the man working in the petrol station tried to buy them both off us.

15mm lower due to MTech suspension, which is probably a bit saggy if it's on original springs.

It was difficult to see whether it was metallic from the pictures, it does come across as a flat paint when pictured.
Some lad was driving infront of me in a 106 gti and I could see him looking in the mirrors, I was expecting him to want a race or something(lucky he didn't really, I would have got smoked!

). Got to a small rounderabout and he stopped, took off his belt and half got out of the window!

Shouted something, so I drew up alongside and he asked if I wanted to sell. If I hadn't have just fitted the LPG kit I would have considered it.
Unmolested clean examples will always have people interested, shit, rusty council turds have no appeal for real or genuine buyers..

Ah right, I thought it was 5mm because when I had a look at lowering springs the 318i has 40mm lowering springs and the 318is has 35mm lowering springs.
Clearly my basic mathematical skills that I'm so proud off weren't applicable this time.

Just fitted some Jamex lowered, stiffened suspension that I got cheap off ebay.
Also just fitted some drilled, grooved brake discs which I also got from ebay
Will take some pictures once I get my calipers cleaned up and painted. - Any suggestions for caliper colour? I was thinking just black to keep it subtle, seeing as though there are no other colours on the car.
