looks like needs new door and wing

How did that happen?

was in right hand lane on a roundabout going straight across and a young lass in left lane decided she was in wrong lane and turned to go right and hit my car .........

worst thing is i had my 12 week old baby in car as well ...

all is ok ...just hope it aint a write off ... doesnt look to bad ....

The insurance company will most likely write that off.

What ever you do, don't settle for the first offer they make. Normally £400!

Tell them you want to buy it back, right from the start.

I was lucky, they paid me out, didn't write it off and let me buy it back for 10%.

she probably has no insurance or a bad claim history.

+1 the insurance WILL write it off.

she said that get a price on partsand she would pay for them

If you can just deal direct with her then do, insurers will just want to settle this on a 50/50 basis, meaning you accept 50% of the blame and therefore only get half of what your repairs cost, also allowing her to claim 50% from you/ your insurers.

Fair enough, but get something in writing.

She may change her mind!

a can get me car painted for about hundred quid thats the full thing done tho ..... i just need to supply the paint and have it prepped up ......

ii would prefer not to get the insurance companies involved ......... but at least she admitted liabilty str8 away

well ...update on this ... am going thru insurance ... got courtesy car .. she has owned up to everything even to the police

just waiting for insurance company to assess the car am gonna buy it bk str8 away and get it repainted and change the rear quarters as well and probably both wings while am at it saves me doing it l8r ....

This almost happened to me in the works Transit today, came off of a round about into a two lane road and the woman in the inside lane decided she wanted my lane , how she didn't see me I'll never know. She swerved back at the last minute, was lucky. I know how you feel when your car gets hit by someone else when it wasn't your fault, another woman came round the corner on a blind bend on my side of the road and straight into my girlfriends astra, she said I was to blame!! I was Raging!!

and getting 750 quid to repair it so should be back out in few weeks

My dad has a habit of keeping cars for a max of 2 years then selling them and well i said i wana keep this one and he said end of week he would garage it and its mine so day before we was gonna garage it mum goes shopping does her shopping comes out drives home about 10 mins from shop then tells my dad its pulling to one side so dad goes to have a look and sees a massive dent and a fucked rim(ill get a pic when i get it outa boot) and sees the rims isnt pointing straight.so yer that's how it happened

i bought the paint yesterday and bought the new arches and wings today ................161 quid ...........

on the verge of respray hopefully be done next weekend

well the lad had to re arrange its in on saturday means even more excuse to get drunk on my birthday lol.... am also adding few extra bits on the next few weeks .... few pics of it prepped now

Looks good mate, watch out for mini cooper s's and renault laguna's! Thats what hit me 3 weeks after having mine painted, oh and the lip should be with you tomorrow
