But then I haven't been to any meets yet... :) I'm sure I'll be outshone when I do get to one this year. Will definitely be along now I feel I've got one worth showing....

See what you think anyway... most of these photos are up on another thread, but easier to get to them on this one.

This was Mahmood's cab, and he looked after it very very well. Fallen in love with it already.

Here is the first photo of the car I have - when I went to view it.
Image

On the ramps at Ant's checking it out before buying it. Ended up driving it 350miles that day so it was a good test drive

Image

Photo after our first trip out in her - down to Cheltenham. Another 120 mile trip in a car that feels more like my dad's E46 330d than my old 320i
Image

Today outside my house - first bit of sun since I've had it. After a very quick wash (ie not polished or detailed at all yet, been concentrating on mechanicals and stuff)

Roof in great condition - only 18months old and looks it...

Later on in the day with the sun less bright...

I was going to go out and polish it today - and gliptone up that nice leather, but I just can't bring myself to do it in the bloody snow. Just screams "sad enthusiast" that little bit too much :)

One of the conditions of sale was not telling the price I'm afraid... paid good money but I think on a good summers day it'll be worth substantially more. And yes, they were still making chromies in 1990 - got all the paperwork to prove it - will post photos of the original spec and order sheet, still in with all the paperwork. Cost 28k new, 19 years ago. Would be a bloody expensive car nowadays if u add inflation!

Looking good Dr.

Baz666: yes, the skirts are 100% OE MTEC I for a convertible.

Enjoy...once the snow has cleared!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys - loving the car so far, she's in such good nick I can't bring myself to do anything that takes away from her being original - only thing is gonna be HID headlights. And what can I clean the roof and rear windscreen with?

She's having an Inspection II next week, and then hopefully up to Beardymatt's the week after to sort out dents and get the Mtec 1 kit up to scratch - it's a bit loose in places and needs some extra clips and bolts. Also a slight scratch on the bootlid.

Just put a 325i badge back on her (don't know why you took it off Mahmood :) ), and I must admit I'm seriously tempted to put an Mtec1 spoiler on, but I'll have to think about it - don't want to drill holes in the boot without being totally sure.

Car's bloody great though - wouldn't have believed a 19 yr old car could feel so modern and tight - keep trying to adjust the volume on the steering wheel cos I keep thinking it's my dad's E46!

Again, thanks for all the nice comments, I'll keep you all updated with what's going on with the car - won't be much as it's so good already...

And some more photos cos I'm bored. Spent a couple of hours on Saturday cleaning and polishing, and then gliptoning. A quick photo of the finished result - not a sunny day and a boring location. Also some photos of the original documentation that's with the car. Oh and one of my Russian T34 tank.... long story. Starts too, but terrible fuel consumption.

Image

Isn't that great? :)

Sorry i can't work out how to twist the picture round online and can't be arsed uploading it again - takes ages on imageshack. But it was a bloody expensive car to say that's 20 years ago....

And the T34.... :)

Nice when you get paperwork like that when you buy an old car. Makes interesting reading - £28k is a lot of money now - let alone in 1990 !!!

Ok - I'll use a pritstick :) TBH I just can't imagine ever being able to do it... the thought of a drill going in and out through the boot lid... makes me feel ill. Could just get a second bootlid and put a spoiler on that...

By all means. It'll be much easier to undo then, once you realise how much better it looked without! :P
