my new sport and old cab

a couple of pics of my new toy and the cab side by side. its amazing what a 40mm drop does for an E30...adjustable coilovers for the sport me thinks - any advice on which ones are best on a modest budget

thinking the two tone will soon be gone but unsure- comments

boot will be debadged and i will remove the number plate surround to match the cab or fit a long UK style one.

Mirrors will soon find the bin once i find some replacments and get some sterlingsliver paint arranged.

eyebrows may go too and the //M badge seems quite well stuck on so that may be my only consession to badges

does anyone recognise the wheels? Hint they are NOT BBS!! they are 16x8 splitties...anyone....

comments, suggestions as always appreciated positive or otherwise!!

personally i think you should get rid of the two tone on the sport, the silver is one of the nicest colour imo.

im liking the black cab- clean!

the 2 tone spoils the sport,
sterling sports are beautifull!

Gotta get rid of those balloon tyres on the Sport too!

Two Tone ain't for me, but loving the Sterling Silver (a relatively rare colour for Sports here in the UK) and the rims.

The mirrors on the Sport ain't that bad are they...?

are you asking cause that is a set on your sig winkeye

problem is you cannot see anything out of them, but i suppose if going fast enough it should not bother!!

Mate... it's not been a couple of months... it's more like a couple of years that I've been quiet!

Moved onto the VW scene... kinda got hooked.

Still love the E30's though! 8)

'91 Mk2 Jetta running Corrado 16v power

'97 Audi A8 2.8 Sport

'97 Mk3 Golf GTi 8v

'86 Mk2 Golf 1.3C (project)

I've just sold the Jetta for ten times more than I paid for it (though it is now QUITE different to how I bought it!) and bought the '86 Golf with 76k on the clock and FSH from an old dear who stopped driving. It's mint and is heading towards becoming a 2.0 16v running bike carbs... a winter project! The Audi is up for sale, but I use this for work... and the Mk3 is a daily driver, but has kind of evolved into something else too! Up for sale soon too...

I left the world of BMW's a few years back after letting go my E36 328i Sport in search of something cheaper to run... and got caught up in the dub scene. It was all 325Gaz's fault after he gave me his old Mk2 all those years ago!

time flies when you are having fun!!! i guess my new young arrival is now 15months old so he takes up most time now (i mean my son not another E30 winkeye )

well mate good to have you back even dubbers are welcome on this site,

why not take that 1986 Golf, swap the engine and running gear from a M20B25, swap the suspension from an E30, keep the brake master cylinder, convert it to real wheel drive, put a sport interior in it, and swap the body shell from an older 3 series model from same era and you would have a good car on your hands there

I am not goiing to change the tyres anytime soon as they are only about a month old and dont look too bad in the flesh, that //M badge is another issue it broke my string trying to get it off, :x need some good quality fishing wire
