Yeah, it was basically a very sound, complete, but tired car. Suspension is fully refreshed, along with all other mechanicals needing attention. But haven't opened up the engine at all.

In terms of timing, I started a new job some 12 months ago which came with a car, and if the truth is to be told, I parked it at the bodyworks to hide it out of sight of the other half, who thinks I need to sell a few cars. Out of sight, out of mind.

So not sure what I am in for when I get it back in a week or two :(

It will be painted the original Arctic White, with dark grey original Hartge livery.

Cheers

Ady, You'll probably find the hospital is filtering pictures out... doubt you'll be able to do much about it.

How come you didn't spray the whole car?

For whatever reason, the spraypainter is doing the front first, then the rest. Don't ask me why, I'm not a spray painter.

only thing i can think of is cause the less you paint the easyer it is to get a good finish, and in a shed its not going to be easy to paint all the car, there will be over spray and dust everywhere, i think i would have done a side at a time though, but he is doing the job and everyone has there own ways of doing things

Beautiful car. It will look fantastic when finished. Fair play for putting the money into it.

Yes, I suspect the guy doing it may be doing it in parts to ensure he gets the best finish. Despite doing it in a shed, he is a properly qualified panel beater and spray painter and runs a full-time business out of the shed. He mainly restores older cars and does good work.

That said, he is the first to admit that he wouldn't want to try to match colours like Arctic silver etc without an oven.

Cheers

Looking good.

What tyres are those?

Yokohama Advan R specs. They are the base model 'R's, not the more expensive ones. A032 maybe?

More pics. I have the original Hartge front bar but it is in very poor condition. This front bar is fitted for the moment, until I can work out what to do. Anyone with a spare good condition chromie Hartge front bar - let me know!
