...Is it how they look best?

Took a few pictures today at a nice local field. Some pikey scum have infiltrated and will no doubt be there for the next 10 years

So Diamond Black
15" BBS
Check interior
iS Lip spoiler
SE side skirts
Tech 1 rear spoiler

All pretty standard zone stuff that is seen day in day out I guess? I personally think that as it is now is much better than being 'individual' and having some lairy kit or distastful wheels etc.

I think that looks good as is mate. I have a bit of a thing for black E30's with white wheels but the bbs's suit it just fine :D

Looks great dude. 8)
If you appreciate the car for what it is keeping it how bmw intended with a few factory extras is the way to go. It will always look "right" that way. Any "substantial" styling mods just won't stand the test of time.

How long have you had LPG? If I hadn't actually met you I would have guessed your in your 50's LPG, french wrongness, pipe and slippers, well maybe not the last two. Yet!

Like it a lot. Im going similar with mine, keeping everything subtle. Really want some 15s to go on mine! Im umming and aahing about going for smoked indicators and repeaters on my Lazaur blue one but having seen yours with clear ones they do look good on dark colours.....

I've done 150 miles on LPG Gareth, so not that long! Fitted it myself, it was a long slog, but worth it in the end. Already over the equivlent of 50mpg, still got some Gas left so seeing if it can make 60 8) Sad huh?

I put up a post the other day about a rear valance as I think its the only thing that lets down a Non m-tech 2 car. I shouldn't be putting money into this really, its just a daily drive!

I'm not even sure I want to smoke the headlights anymore, I think I do really, its just the effort required that is putting me off. :o

Indeed. It has served me well. Puts up with all the abuse I throw at it. Now its living the life of luxury and a relaxed driving style that comes with LPG. :P

For all the piss taking it gets, it is just putting two fingers up to me and refusing to die! (touch wood 8O )

1an, they were like that when I bought it. Honest.

Its quite nice to have a car that you don't have to worry about knocking the sump straight off, I still worry about the lip spoiler when joining roads from a T junction with different gradients, its always on my mind after I knocked it off once. Luckerly the sump is nicely out of the way at the moment.

I may lower the front slightly, but in all honesty, I doubt it for a long time! It would look a lot better I realise, but all the negatives are too great.

Think I spotted you yesterday, Ben. Saw a black iS on MIMs coming from Cowley center going up towards the ring road... you I assume?

I like the look of your iS on those MIMs with the suspension setup, looks sweet...

Why thankyou sir! yer would have been me. i feel ashamed...its so very dirty atm :(

i do like the way it looks, but its tooo lowww at the back. maximum of 1 passenger :D needs to come up a bit, or some stiffer shocks..... MIM's need a refurb of some sort aswell. il get some pics up at some point.

one obvious omission tho mate: iS boot badge! wear it with pride! :) i know the tech1 gearknob and s/wheel are standard but is the boot spoiler? all of my iSs had a normal boot lip spoiler, ive wondered whether to fit my tech1 boot spoiler, ive put 15" x-spokes on and se skirts and mud flaps but fairly standard external appearance-wise

Ady, good spot. The tech 1 rear spoiler is not factory. I have the original 'heckspoiler' in the garage somewhere. Its the usual colourcoded shite that is a cracked rubber spoiler. The tech1 spoiler looks great! It never had an iS badge on when I bought it and I think it looks nice without one :P I don't want to admit owning a 4 pot do I! :)

I've put 15" bbs instead of the 14's, tech 1 spoiler and most recently the SE sideskirts. I just need a tasteful rear valance and I can stop playing with it then.

but it's a highly desireable, very rare(ish), twin cam 4 pot! get "badged-up!" for sale: 318 iS genuine bmw e30 boot badges..... :teehee: see you at portsdown hill(12oct) and/or hindhead(9nov)?

I am not sure about either of the two dates as I am back at Uni in Bristol now, so it depends where I am at the time. Hopefully I should be able to make one of them.

Zigster, I think I am going to leave them on just to annoy you! Did you know I painted the bulbs with nail varnish for the true council affect. :) Sod these £20 silver bulbs.

Lemme know when you're about for a beer btw :thumb:

A little update:

I've had a breyton rear valance for about 2 months now of Si13. I 100% hate fibreglass now, but there you go.

Breyton didn't really think about how to fit these when they made them, you cannot put the bumper bolts back in once the valance is on the car :? I had a paddy the first time trying to get bolts back in and broke it slightly. A month later i've fixed it again! So I've bodged it all on now. :)

Obviously it now needs twin pipes which I am afriad to say will be tips rather than some bassy scorpion which would drive me frigging nuts after 20 minutes of novel, 6 pot'esk, noise. Let the rasp continue

Sorry about the awful pictures, it was cold and I had about 2 minutes of battery remaining. I couldn't really get a 3/4 angle from the front without getting in the water 8O
