Thanks. Just bought mine recently as my 1st car, not got any big plans for it yet. Planning on working on the body first, bit of rust just coming through on the rear arches :( . Going to get a new set of wheels and change the suspension as well.

Cheers mate, body is in good condition overall but needs a few bits tidying up. Going to take my time and not rush, make sure it is done properly. Hopefully i will be at the stage of a engine conversion soon :D

Just a few updated pics of my car below. I have added a new set of 17" alloy wheels, fitted a new suspesion kit supplied by Hottuning (kit is 40/40), also fitted a set of black angel eyes (courtesy of Dips) and crystal black indicator lenses.

Hey Aloo how you doin?

Those head-lights have ruined the look of the car IMO...car looks shocked all the time

Also, you need to get some flat centres for the wheels.

You driving this now or the civic?

Salaam Ace, I'm alright mate

I thought they look alright, something different
That is next on my list, have had a look around but can't seem to find any.
I'm driving both lol. Just got it insured on my dad's name and driving it on my insurance. Still too much to insure it on my name

P.S. Your car looks wicked, i have read your thread and looks cool :thumb:

You'd be better of with a DIY smoked set, but hey, if you like them, then stick with them...you got HID's installed in it yet?

You've seen mine in the flesh haven't you?? Isn't as good as it looks in pics  It's a never ending project, got loads of parts for it, just a case of getting them all fitted.

I did see your car out a few times last month, but wasn't sure if it was yours or not...had the old wheels on it then.
You leaving it stock or you going to tech 2 it? If you don't, then get an IS lip on it.

I was thinking of getting a set but thought do something different and get angel eyes, dont think anyone got them on a E30 in Derby apart from Mubsys.

Yh it looks nice, I've got loads of ideas for mine just a case of doing it slowly and properly. How's Jagga's cab doin?
I just bought the wheels recently, probably was my dad driving it. Going to keep it for some time.
I have bought a Reiger Kit for it but having second thoughts now, probably get a M-Tech 2 kit instead now, seen a couple on here and looks better. Wanted to get the Reiger Genesis Kit but aint got enough money for that yet

I've just had it fitted today and not had a chance to drive the car much so can't really say much. Sorry. Can let you know in a couple days though :)

You're best asking Jagga about his, he don't seem to want to get anything done on it unless i do it for him

I saw the lights on mubsys, don't think they look any better on a tech 2 either

I really wouldn't bother with the genesis kit unless you're willing to throw serious money at the car....you'll need some seriously wide wheels for starters!!! probably looking at £1-2K for the kit, £1-2K sprayed and fitted, wheels alone will set you back another £2K atleast!!!! Big money that. Not something you want to be doing to your first car. Keep your feet on the ground..i've been there.

Tech 2 is the way to go i think. You playing footy tomorrow? I'm making my comeback

Thats typical jagga, is he not putting the m-tech kit on?
When i realised that i need at least 5k minimum i thought better of it
I saw pictures of Bootymans car and got excited and thought i would love to do that to mine
Yeah thats what i am thinking as well, just need to find one now. I should be playing tomorrow, Nas hasnt txt me yet. Its been a while since you last played, what was up?

Jagga's kit is sat at home with mine. still waiting to get sprayed. He's got a hardtop for his sat in his bedroom, aswell

I didn't fit my kit as I had other things i wanted to sort first (that's my excuse), but he's just waiting for me to spray it for him and fit it, and being lazy as usual.

Bootymans is an exceptional example, but i've seen a few done very badly, and to be honest unless you're going to do it properly, then don't bother. I think bootyman put about £20K into his though.

I aint played for a while, don't know about them...they have been texting me last few weeks that they're back at shaftesbury, but i couldn't play till this week.

Re:

I think bootyman has spent more like 70k on his.

At least he got the parts, i reckon if you wasnt able to spray/fit the kit he would have had it put on by now. His car will look a lot better with the kit and hardtop on. He's not interested in selling the kit is he winkeye

Yeah his car is probably the best E30 i have ever seen, looks exceptional. I think the MTech kit will do.

We only started playing again 2 weeks ago. This is the 3rd match, its 1-1 at the moment.

I read somewhere bootyman saying he's spent £20K, although i'm not sure which one that's on (he has a blue one aswell doesn't he?)

I've told him to sell if he's not fitting them, but looks like he wont' be selling anything. It'll all be fitted one day, even if that means i fit it all for him myself (and probably will be like that).

His car is unique...but once you start looking into the performance side of things with V8's/V10's/V12's, suprer-charged, and turbo'd, then it makes it hard to say what is the best e30. There's a thread going at the moment copied from s14.net about a m3 that's being rebuilt with a twin-turbo'd m5 engine

1-1 hey, great time to come back then. winkeye

Yeah i'm pretty sure he got 2, its in his sig i think.
lol, how much you reckon a M-Tech 2 kit going to cost me?
I have read that thread, looks foooking amazing. My car is alright for power, once i have done the bodykit i might go for a M30 or M50 conversion :D .
I'm thinking of changing my interior to white, what you reckon?
Yeah good time, I have been playing for Sheraz team last 2 matches but i reckon i will be back on Shaid's team tomorrow

Re:

Tech 2 will be around £400mark. That should get you something in good nick. Anything less will either be a bargain, or will need alot of work. Having sanded my kit back to bare plastic as i wasn't happy with the paint that was on it, I know that a kit that isn't in good nick will need quite a bit of work, and thus will cost more when it comes to spraying fitting. You're better off buying one that's in good nick, and if you're lucky (and not as fussy as me) then you could get away with a quick rub down on the paint that's on it, and to topcoating.

I'm looking at either M30 or M50 myself, but probably won't do it till summer time now as i need the car for work. I'd want to do the conversion myself if i can so i can learn how it's done.

Personally i think a white interior would look odd in your car. Perfect colour for your car would be as they are now, or red. But to be honest, you have leather so you're better off just re-dying your current leather and get them mint again if they're not already mint.

We'll see what happens, not sure who's team i'm going to be on...may be sent to play for the enemy

Most of the kits i have seen are around that sort of price range. There are a couple for sale on here so might go and have a look. Am not going to be doing any of the work anyway so not too fussed about the condition.

Do you want to start early and have a go at mine winkeye .

Would'nt red interior look odd in a green car? Jagga's looks nice with the cream leather, reckon mine would as well. The leather that i have got in the moment is a good condition, probably could do with a re-dye to bring it back into perfect condition. There is a rip in the rear seat, the seam in the middle is starting to come away, do you know anywhere that can sort that out for me? I reckon i will just get some rear headrests and leave it for now unless something cheap comes up.

I've moved over, they calling me a traitor

You may not be fussed about the amount of work that's needed, but whoever's spraying it will, so will mean you pay more!

Once i've done mine, I may have a crack at yours, but only if i'm sure i know what i'm doing...don't want to end up messing someone else's car up.

I've seen a green car with red leather, and trust me, it looked good. I don't think a light colour would go with your shade. Best bet would be a refurb of your current ones. Not really sure about anywhere local to be honest. Derby is really shit for this kind of thing. Jagga's interior transformed his car, but his colour is light, so it works in his car.

Yes, but who would you rather play for??? I know i'd rather be on sheraz's team!

True say, when i do get my kit am probably going to give it to Sehmbi, got my suspension and lights fitted by him.

If i do a conversion then i want to make sure i have enough saved up in the bank to complete it all, dont want to stop start due to no funds. Most likely looking at next year if am lucky. Jagga's could do with a conversion, only a 4 pot compared to our 6 pots winkeye

I'll have to try and find some pics to see what it looks like. There was a set of red/black interior for sale but didnt go for it. I have been looking on the internet but cant seem to find anything, p*isses you off. Need to get my hood sorted as well but again i probably have to go out of town to get it sorted :x

Same here but i reckon i will be back on their team tomorrow, hopefully not

I wouldn't give my car to sehmbi. Infact i wouldn't give my car to anyone anymore...had too many bad experience with all the garages...i'd rather learn and do the work myself now.

Jagga can't put a 6pot in yet as his insurance would be too high as he's had a disqualification in the past. He's on classic insurance anyway, and they limit the car to 2L or less. If he keeps his then a lpg'd 6pot is definitely needed.

I've seen lots of interiors that i could've gone for, but as i already have rear leathers for my touring all i need is sports leather front seats, and i can use them out of any e30 or also e28 i'm told, so i'm waiting for a mint set at the right price. Not in no rush as i'm going to be doing all of the interior in another colour (yes you guessed it, red). Going to get all the plastic panels on the interior 'flocked' in red, and then dye the seats red myself. Not in no rush though. Would rather get the engine done first.

You can get a new hood fitted for around £400 i think. Quite a few people have had them done on here, so ask the question and hopefully someone should be able to tell you where you can get it done from.

 My dad knows him really well so he does a extra good job and also get discount :D
Thats the problem, you get killed by insurance, if i do the m30 or m50 conversion there's no chance am going to get insured on my car  .

I've already got leather so i might just re-dye it black and get some rear headrests to finish the interior off. When you change the interior colour you have to change everything else as well like door cards/plastic trims to make it look nice.

Ive got a brand new hood fitted, its electric as well but when i put it down and close the top panel, it doesnt click in place and there is a gap, annoying when you go over bumps. I have heard that Bill & Jason from West Midlands are pretty good, probably take it there next week.

Dont' get me wrong, he's probably one of the best mechanics in derby...but he's skanked alot of people. I asked him for a quote for a problem i had with my car a while back and he told me that he'd never even repaired that before on one of these cars so couldn't tell me how much it would be! The only time i let anyone work on my car is if they know alot about these cars. Suppose the suspension overhaul is pretty straight forward, so no biggie there. By the way, you do realise that the lights are held in by about 3 screws yeah??? Did he charge you to change them over??

ahh, the electric hood...most people on here who have them have had problems with them (although apparently there's a mod that you can make to them to stop the normal issues you have).

Before we bought Jagga's car we went to see a cab same colour as yours...LHD but a real minter...had tons of history and receipts...went for the test drive...drove fine...asked about the hood, they told me they've never had a problem with it....tried putting the hood down, and it got stuck half way!!!

Just goes to show, they all f*ck up sooner or later. I'd avoid the electrics personally, but then that's not really an option now for you.

He is a very good mechanic, probably not that good on BMW's but he is the person to go to if you got a Jap motor. There is Ian Harrington as well who specialises in BMW, my dad and uncle go to him. I dont know, he did everything so i assume they are fitted properly :? . Yeah he did, was'nt that much though.

Mine works fine apart from the horseshoe panel not closing properly, everything else works as it should i think lol.

Thankfully mine has never done that, i could do a manual conversion but dont want to do that coz the main reason i bought this car was coz it had a electric hood.
