e30 325i coupe project

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum so I thought I'd introduce myself and post pictures of my car.

Me and three of my mates bought an e30 325i coupe last week. It had 143000 miles on the clock and came with an m-tech 1 body kit (except rear bumper), lsd, and an induction kit. It had also been lowered already.

We also bought a set of genuine 16" alpina alloys.

We heard a knocking sound coming from the rear off side wheel when accelerating and so changed the drive shaft, however the sound is still there so we're going to change the bush on the lsd as well.

We're planning on the following mods

rear m-tech 1 bumper,
m-tech 2 steering wheel,
full sports exhaust system,
full respray (although we can't agree on a colour),
ecu remap (not sure if its worth the money),
leather interior

Please leave your comments and thoughts, especially suggestions for colour. We've each come up with different ideas for the colour: pearl white, sparkling graphite (gunmetal on the new e90s), jet black (gloss), and matt black. We're going to have to resolve this, we plan to spray it in two weeks.

Here are some images of the car and us working on it

Don't do it Matt black, that will instantly devalue it.

Seeing as Simon15 didn't spray his Alpina Blue, you should. :)

Great colour and will go well with the wheels and tech 1 skirts(a bit like pina skirts)

Someone has fitted a pre facelift front metal bumper and tech1 front spoiler along with tech1 side skirts to a facelift car. Unusuall to see it done the other way as you normaly see prefacelift cars with tech2 kits.

Its not a genuine sport Alex.

Hadn't considered that yet, will throw it into the hat, thanks.

Also do you guys think that a rear spoiler from an m-tech 2 kit would go well with the current kit, or should we just replace the whole kit with m-tech 2?

Take all the kit of, buy a GENIUNE mtec2 kit before then you should check for rust see how bad it is if so replace the front wings arches etc, once the mtec2 kit is put on then spray the whole car brilliant red with genuine Alpinas :D it will look awesome mate.

No to the tech 2 kit, unusual to see a tech 1 on a facelift car but they look so much better IMO.

what would the current front bumper with a tech1 spoiler and SE skirts look like? too much of a mess?

im thinking the look that some of the alpinas ive seen had, with the big front bumper and standard rear with a kool spoiler?

Thanks for all the suggestions, we've decided to spray it pearl white, with an m-tech 2 kit, and white alpina alloys. I'll update the thread with the new pictures when the work is done.

Personally i wanted black, but white was the only one that we could settle on. We still need to buy the mtec 2 bodykit and primer it so we probably won't get the paint until a couple of weeks. We could really do with a few more suggestions as i'm not 100% on white myself.

Damn it the last alpina blue shot doesn't work. It is the SEX.

Look on simon13s poll about what colour to repaint his c2. On the first page.

I'd say NONE, go with the Alpina, Mauritius or even Avus blue.

not sure but I'm pretty sure the tech1 rear bumper isint a straight fit onto a facelift I'm sure you need to modify the lower rear qtrs i would go for diamond schwartz metallic or dolphin grey

Beige, with beaded seat covers.

Ok, ok. I like that Mauritius blue lots - if my Touring wasn't diamondschwarz I'd want it Mauritius.

The Alpine blue is also a bit lovely.

Oak Green only looks good on Golfs, in my opinion.

Dolphin Grey is lovely, but somehow I don't think it'd suit yours.

Pearl white always makes me think of pensioners in old LS400 Lexus.

Hi, am NK, to be very honest isn't it Alpina is so common....
I Stay in Botswana, and 65 % E30drives around with alpinas!!! even in South Africa! Watsup with Alpina?

By Profession am a Creative Directors, I work for 3X Designs in Botswana.

Bro... E30s are the only ones you pump out a lot out of.

Get yourself, a set of deep lipped rims, Polished lips and Gun Metal Spokes. and for da color of your ride Apple Green with white pearl.
