hi guys, just a very quick update,my mate called me informing me that he sprayed the bonnet just to see what the paint colour would come out like.....so

i rushed round there just to see.

to be honest im very happy with the outcome of the paint colour,i know its very hard to see as it was not in the sunshine but im pretty sure it will look 10 times better in the sun.

this has just been painted and laquered,NOT YET RUBBED AND POILSHED.

very impressed :D

what you guys think??????

I'm with Max on this. Why go through all that trouble and then put A's? Go look for some wide and deep splitties! winkeye

And i thought you said the car is a 318, but that is a no 318 lump under the hood :?

Hmm seeing things like this makes me want to do my own project so badly. I have a million idea's in my head, but unfortunatly my million idea's seem to cost millions of pounds too so i'll just sit and watch you lot for now

hi guys thankyou all for your positive comments,

maxfield and bootyman, these wheels i have got are just to get me by for a while, until i get i get a proper set of deep dish alloys.

i needed something to get me buy for a few months and there was no way i was gona settle for alpinas/15" bbs,and this is no offence to anyone who has these wheels as they do look very good

but its an everyday thing, everyday i see e30z with either alpinas and 15" bbs, dont get me wrong plenty of people have azevs but i have 8.5J all round which makes it a bit different.

anyway will be going to my mates place later to see the progress.

once again thankyou all for your comments.

aceraf my old cab was M5 Avus Blue

Had a f*cking right result today guys, thought id jack the car up today to check the underneathe properly, also the exhaust was pissed so had to adjust that, and guess what....................

the cars only got a LSD on it,couldnt beleive it,i thought to myself while the car was jacked up id check if it had one or not.

really made my day!

anyway i have some more pics but im sitiing in a internet cafe due to a broadband fault in my area(bloody NTL)so cant upload any pics.

but on both wings the indicator bits have been flushed and ready for paint.

i told him yesterday to give the bonnet a quick rub down and poilsh,he did so and is looking spot on.

will uplaod pics in a few days.

I personally think the red leather looked/looks better than any light cream/white leather, but then you've already done that so probably want something different this time??

Colour looks awesome, but how come he lacquered half the car before topcoating the rest? Wouldn't it have been easier to do it all at once?

Re:

by SHAZ325iSPORT
i told him to do the bonnet first to see how the colour would come out,i think he go carried away,i was too eager to see the colour in flesh.

the reason for this was because i wanted to see if i made the right decision on the colour, and i love it.

It does look awesome.

Has it been wet-flatted in those pics? If not, then that is going to seriously pop when finished.

no not yet,he did the bonnet a bit but his mop on the machine was no good,so he didnt bother doing it.
