Hi,

Just thought I'd show a piccie of my first ever BMW......a really nice, straight 325 manual cabriolet. I bought it earlier this week from a neighbour of my Brother in law who's had it for years......I had tried to sell it for him a couple of years ago on Ebay but it failed to meet the reserve so he wheeled it back into his garage where it has sat ever since. It didjn't turn a wheel, the MOT ran out and it was looking a little sorry for itself. Anyway, to cut a long story short, he sold it to me for £1000. I had to fit a new radiator (£80 delivered and a simple 30 min job). Car runs really well, has 110K on clock and 20 stamps in service book. Just got back from the nice MOT man who's given me a 12 month ticket! So, for a total outlay of around £1120 I've got a years worth of roof off cruising!

Where does everyone go to get QUALITY parts from?....I've used Euro Car Parts in the past for stuff for my Mercs but have found you need to be careful what you're buying from them. I bought a head gasket set from them for a VW some time ago and it was dreadful. Ended up having to do the job twice in the end and using a genuine gasket set.......

Welcome.
Car looks good, get some more pics up.

For the money you paid it looks like you've got a real bargain.

What goodies does it have?

Not many goodies at all really.....Manual roof which was replaced about 4 years ago, leccy windows ( don't they all?) and black leather.

Still, having had Rangies and Mercs for the past few years, I don't mind poverty spec....less to go wrong and less to worry about!

What a gorgeous sounding engine though!....very addictive!

From what i've heard about electric roofs (and seen one pack-up on a test drive that had seemingly never had a problem in all it's years) i would say the manual is probably the better option. Doesn't take long to put down/up!

The 6 does make an awesome sound when you give it some! :D
