About time i posted some of the changes since the respray back in july.
40mm drop with eibach springs, bilstein B8 shocks and H&R adjustable anti roll bars. This along with the genuine Alpina 16x7s & 16x8s wraped in 205/50 & 225/45 continental sport contacts has made an excellent improvement to the handling without compromising the ride comfort that much if at all. All thats left to do with regards to this is replace the wishbone bushes with genuine M3 eccentric ones and a suitable front strut brace.

Future mods in the new year apart from whats been previously mentioned will be more genuine Alpina parts and this,

Dare I say though Barry, that your boot latch needs adjusting  It appears to be sitting a tad high :D

I should be buying a mint sport next month, excited.

Yup a tech1 in delphin grey :D Its not black (which I would prefer) but according to the seller it is absolutely spankingly mint. Its in the for sale section here.

Will save me a damn sit more money than if I go for a respray 8)

How soon are you planning on fitting the new engine? Are you fitting the manifold to your 2.5?

Would it be Cathclaire's one? That car certainly does look minty mint and as you say much cheaper than a respray/resto.

The manifold and system i have will be going on the 2.5 untill the 2.7 has had a top end rebuild and fettle! winkeye

Well a standard tech2 sport with a btb was featured in TotalBMW mag last year and had before and after dyno printouts. 167bhp before and 185bhp after, an increace of 18bhp so there is some hoping.

Absolutely gorgeous

Whats the interior like? be good to see some shots of that too, this has reminded me that I have a set of Alpina wheels studs sat in a box I was meaning to send you! drop me a pm with address as I've lost the last one. Also got a set of 4 (new) original Alpina wheel centre logos still in their Alpina bag if you need some spares.

This is how it is now. I originaly had cloth but wanted leather and searched for some time to find a complete interior as mint as possible that would do justice to the mileage of the car and i considered all colours except blue which as much as i like the blue, i just didnt think it would suit the black exterior. I quite fancied beige to be honest but its near impossible to find mint beige sport leather and i didnt want a retrim as in my eyes the very rarely look original.
Image
Image

Here's some of the cloth interior originally fitted which was one of the mintest i had seen, tight and firm in all places, no wear apart from a couple of tiny nicks in the drivers seat probably from metal parts on jeans?

lookin good there baz

glad to see youve worked that ford bug out of your system.

what springs did you fit to yours as it doesnt look too low and how does the ride compare now on rough roads? sheffield roads are pants in places and i cant decide weather to just change to bilstein shocks and leave the standard sport springs or go for a full kit. deffo gonna go with h&r bars either way.

Thanks Mate.

I've said this to a few people on the zone who have asked about suspension.

Eibach 40mm springs (only drops a car with Mtech suspension by 25mm as Mtech are allready 15mm lower than standard), Bilstein B8 shock absorbers all round and H&R adjustable anti roll bars.

This set up has vastly improved the handeling of the car and also very importanly not affected the ride quality almost to the point of it being the same as the standard setup.
This was one of the criterea i wanted when choosing what set up to go for as like what you said about Sheffield, the roads arround Surrey and south London are sh*t to say the least.
Its a shame you are far away cause you could drive my sport to see what you think before making a decision but if you haven't decided by the show season you are more than welcome to see then.

cheers buddy, thats kinda what i wanted to hear. whatever i do will be done in stages when cash allows starting with the bars so there might be time for me to have a test drive of yours. got a couple of interior bits im not happy with so they will need sorting first.
