Paintwork was looking past its best on my track slag, had a new quarter on it at some point and the paint was cracked and not really very pretty.

Calypso it was......

and now its more evil than dr evil in a bad mood!

And, yes, I know the indicators and repeaters need tinting. got some spray somewhere and they will get done soon i promise!

This is just stage 1....stage 2 in a couple of weeks... winkeye

600ml rattle cans used almost 4 cans so enough left for "touch up" Cost me just under a fiver a can so a respray for less then 20 notes can't be bad!

Car looks great. I got a set of MIMs that I used for a track day at C'combe but suffered with rubbing on arches. I've resorted to gloss black BBS's. You had problem with yours? what size tyres you running?

Wheels are 7x15 with an offset of ET13 they are running on 195/50*15 so no rubbing issues as yet....

They are not Mims they are made by RH, basically the same wheel though.

Bring on the "rattle can painted" monthly prize!!!

Surprising how many people move over when they see me behind them on a dual carriageway!!!! winkeye

i had it before you brought it off nick baxter had it a good few months when i had it it was a 320 and the bottom end went so i had the 325 sport lump fitted also put the diff on it because i blew it (oops) only sold it because i couldnt afford to keep up fixing it, it kept dieing on me when i came to a stop and i always had to bump start it (not an easy job!!) then found out once i sold it it was a dodgy earth strap

That explains why the diff was easy enough to get off then!

Spec has changed a bit since you had it

BBS wheels are gone and replaced with the RH Mims lookalikes with yokohama tyres all round
Old diff off and replaced with a 3.64 LSD
headlights have been smoked
interior stripped and two bucket seats fitted on custom mounts with 3 point harnesses
rear cage fitted
old tech 2 spoiler removed soon to be replaced with something better!
front spoiler is a home grown concoction using a spoiler of a 1983 audi coupe
bonnet pins fitted with standoffs at rear
anything else that weighs has gone also!
rear cross drilled discs going on shortly as is a full poly bush setup

I have done about 9000 miles in it so far and it has not missed a beat!
You sure it was a sport engine as the gearbox appears to be a standard 325 box.

you got any pics of it when you had it?
