Ok not so much an Update more of what I've been up to lately..
So I've been having thoughts of changing my wheels and my friend is selling these BBS style 5's which I thought I'd try and see how they looked..

They looked good but I wasn't 100% convinced..plus with them being 17's (which I always said I'd never go bigger than 16's) they were rubbing on the rear arches..So the borbets are here to stay for a little bit more..
Other than that I've been attending as many meets/shows as I can and here's a few pics which have been taken along the way

Yesterdays E30zone meet, fair to say I was a bit early lol

Ok nothing in terms of an Update on any kind of build as everything has been running perfect and as I always say "if its not broke dont fix it"
I have been messing about with my Canon and photoshop more lately so here is some of the latest pics i have taken:

Belgravia classic car show, I had the only E30 in attendance

Trust me when I say I keep considering getting some new wheels but then change my mind as I take another look and realise how much they suit my car..martauto wrote:I`m not really a lover of after market wheels but they suit it down to the ground.

Lovely looking car and great pics. Must make a fun summer car, for sure.
Only thing I'd alter is to try and get the twin exhausts centralised with the rear bumper cutout (a problem I currently need to look into with my MINI Cooper).

It is fun especially after I fitted your chip which is still going strong! btw!
The truth is the exhaust is not the problem as it is sitting exactly where it should, the problem is the bumpers are not genuine, they are good imitations as not alot of people have realised this lol Due to this the cutout is too big and makes the exhaust look too far in towards the centre of the car.
I bought a Genuine Tech I kit which i will be having fitted when i finally have enough funds for a full respray! (one day
this will sort it out and make it look normal lol

Slight update..
So I saw these digital voltmeter for sale on Facebook and thought I had to have one! (Lellis was the guy selling them and they are top quality)
I love the factory OEM look!
Very happy with how it looks

Looks great, I fitted one a few years back but mine has more of a graphic equalizer effect.
I also have one that does AFR as well.

Slight update peeps..I have FINALLY carried out a battery in boot conversion
Got this pic as a teaser for now untill the weather decides to sort itself out and let me tidy everything up.
Always wanted to do this as the front end has more then enough weight with the Big 6 there so wanted to even it out a bit with the rear end..

Firstly I'd like to say what a year we had last year (2020)
I just sat and read through my whole thread and what a journey..it actually brought back memories I forgot about! I was wandering how many of you guys who helped me along the way are still knocking about on here?
Since my last update alot has changed for me..I'm now a homeowner and guess who else has a home now
Even before we moved in I already told the Mrs about plans to extend the garage
This now gives me freedom to do some stuff on Frankenstein in the warmth and fully lit, rather than on my mum's driveway in all weathers..makes me actually admire how dedicated I was while I was doing the conversion!
So technically I haven't done anything much to her other than the usual maintenance and insurance which is now (All mods declared) £180 from Lancaster! Never thought I'd see the day!
Here's a few more pics of her lately and a couple of artsy videos I did.

I agree mate I loved the look and if they were 16's they probably would've stayed in place.
My fears of them being too big as 17s came true when I drove it, kept rubbing on the arches and there was no way I was "modifying my arches" like many suggested to make them fit

So I've had a bit of time in furlough after all the chores around the house..to do a bit of paint correction.
I've never used a clay bar in my life but bought one ages ago and thought now would be a good time to see what's what:
As you can see it was well needed!
Finished off giving it a once over with the machine polisher using "Maguire's ultimate compound" and Finished off with some "Poorboys Black hole"
Results are quite good if you ask me

So today I finally managed to get hold of a Quick rack ready M30b35 custom made full stainless steel exhaust system!
Been waiting for this since 2018 and the guy I bought it from was a man of his word and honoured my first refusal status since then.
It will be a nice little bank holiday weekend job to fit but for now here's where I got with it today..
As it was when I bought it:
After a little bit of elbow grease
Completely polished and fitment pics hopefully on the weekend

Update time..
So I fitted the exhaust and I have to say the beast breathes so much better now! It really has made a difference after 3,500 rpm as it has always felt fast but you could just feel it had more to give!
Had to cut and shut a few exhaust hangers to make it fit and to be totally honest I do miss having some big tips out of the back after having the DTM for so long, so I will be looking to replace them but for now I'm happy with it...
And plus she sounds absolutely amazing now! I will post some vids when I upload them
The difference between the 2.5i system and 3.5i system
Difference in manifolds
First problem of the day is the new manifold not clearing the original steering linkage
Luckily I already bought this from Danthe in preparation for the clubsport rack
plenty of clearance now

Yea the main reason I always wanted an M30 is because it's the same Era as the car and no plastic engine covers in sight

It really opens up better at higher rpm over the stock 325i exhaust system doesn't it

That's one thing I've wanted to do but keep putting it off to fit my throttle bodies..
Looking forward to seeing yours though man!
