Car on a spit:

Spits are a god send!
Rust caused by a poorly installed car phone in the rear arch (partly cut out):

Cut back to fresh metal

Plate welded in:

Surface dressed:

Hole at base of rear arch cut out to fresh metal:

Plate made and tacked in place:

Surface prepped:

Back of the cill, inner arch and part of the outer arch were rotten. While prepping and cutting out I found filler. Appears to have been caused from a previous accident repair:

Those are probably not even a quarter of the repairs I've done. What has shocked me is on the surface this was a clean shell and it has taken 2 of us 4 weekends of 2 12+ hour stints in a fully equipped bodyshop and we aren't even half way to painting it. I dread to think how much work a half bad shell would actually require, and what the bill would be.
I taught myself to weld so any tips are greatly appreciated.
