Well ill start where i left off. I had just got it running but still had loads of little bits left to do, fans, adjustments, leaks etc but it was running, i was happy.

I have wired a twin speed fan on a switch on the dash, replaced the whole dash with a new uncracked item, replaced all brakes with 325 51mm struts, lowering springs etc sorted all leaks, tweaks and bangs, cleaned it up and took some pics.

I used it like this until the tax ran out in April and it sat in the garage untouched for the next 5 months 8O As i had purchased a well used and abused E28 that came with a M535i engine and full M5 bodykit.

I soon got bored of that and a jump start later the rather tame looking but M52'd E30 was back running.

This is the original milage aswell by the way. All paperwork from new to back this up.

After selling the E28 but keeping some of the bits, i decided i liked the staggered style 32's that was on it, so i kept them and decided to look at what was needed to go 5 stud..........

I was bored of the sleeper look and am now going all out drift spec

Lots of hours later i had all bits necessary for the 5 stud conversion, mainly using M3 3.2 Evo stuff.

Here goes.

After adding tyres to start seeing the kind of arch mods, tyre sizes etc but before doing the front.

Slightly big lol.

Then onto the fronts.

M3 Evo 3.2 brakes, hubs, calipers, discs, lower arms to get front wheels sitting correct in the arch & a set of coilovers fitted with E30 strut top mounts so all just a bolt in conversion.

Now that its done and driving again, its time to start lowering to see what touches where and what to do about it

Alignment done and outer arches sealed for now with a rattle can until weather gets a little better and funds allow the final paintwork.

Does not touch anywhere front or rear and considering the height (or lack of it) is still a pretty good ride.

Finally, as of yesterday, got my BBS side skirts on, again rattle canned until outer paint is done, albeit needing a little work around the arches where theyve been widened.

Pretty happy with it so far, appreciate not to everyones taste but i love it. Much fun....

This is an abject lesson in how to make a decent car look like shite...!

But hey, your car and good work put into it. :)

F00k that looks terrible! Not from a purists point of view, the stance on it is awful! Ruined what looked like a nice car. Why is the arch shape so mismatched to the wheel shape and what's up with that gash amount of lip hanging out the side?

Good little project there, like the idea of how you tackled the arch/wheel issue, just not sure about the rear arch looks a bit of a funny shape not sure if that's just from angle of the picture.

Each modification you have done has made it look worse. It looked nice here expect the shocking exhaust before you ruined it. :?
