I thought I would start a thread as I have got to the point, where I have stripped the rear of the car apart, and the kit to waxoyl the car and look for any rust.

Most that know the car thought I was mad for starting to take it apart because it looks immaculate, everything sits perfectly as it should but I am doing this for peace of mind so I can enjoy it for its last summer before going into long time storage.

The story of the car.......its a 1990 alpine white 325i sport, with approx 105k on the clock with muschos service history. It was owned by C76 JON, then M3 tony and since then it has been laid to rest in ireland. I brought it over on the boat, so im its only owner in ireland.

When I seen it come for sale on the zone 4 od years ago, I knew it was the car for me. I had been working my ass of, saving like crazy for the right car and at 18 years old I was pretty proud of myself at the time.

When I got to m3tonys house, here is what greated me.

My father and I hardly even looked it over, we knew what it was and could tell my how his garaged was arranged, kept that it was indeed a minter. C76 JON put my mind at rest aswell, as I asked him many questions about the car before I got on the plane to go see it.

The engine was replaced before I bought it at big cost from FAB recycling, the old one was giving bottom end trouble so it was replaced with an engine from rear ended tourer in jersey, only 35k was on the engine and was purchased at big cost from fab recycling and big cost was invloved in fitting the engine, got all recipts etc in the service history folder. I have never heard a quiter m20, the engine has done arround 50k, so not even broke in yet.

Here are a few other photo's.

Like I said I have stripped the rear of the car and kit to look for rust, good news is, the inner arch's are like the day they left the factory. Pictures will follow shortly but not today, probably tomorrow evening.

cheers for reading

White's not a colour I usually like - it looks great in hotter countries, but not in our climate. However, your car looks absolutely stunning!

Indeed a very nice example in white- don't see many white Sports around and the white Tourings that seem to inhabit the roads look like shitters. This pulls it off nicely- hope it's as clean underneath as it is on top!! I due to do the same to mine soon and I'm a tad nervous to find out what's underneath!!!

It sure looks a tidy one! Another lover of whit tech 2 sports here. Would look great with indigo blue or crimson/cardinal red leather!

Ever thought about going back to a chrome grill, orange indicators and some BBS?

Look forward to the arch pics.

I would seriously consider going indigo blue/cardinal red leather. Problem is, I would only ever buy an immaculate set and I have yet to find any immaculate leather. I would even fit immaculate black leather if I could find it, I'm a bit to fussy though.

BBS will be fitted shortly, chrome grill is a no no for me and the same with orange indicators. Imo clear indicators and black grill on the 325i sport is better than oem.

Hopefully will have some pictures for you guys this evening.

thanks
