Interesting, didn't know that. Wouldn't stop me from painting it silver though.

I noticed that when looking at imports. At first it didn't look right but the more you see it...the more it feels natural.

BMW Japan only produced a few colours and the "Sport" version with tech 2 kit seem to all have this two tone, you only find Diamond Black, Dolphin Grey and Sterling, the latter being the rarest. The Dolphin looks worst as the Granite Silver kit is only a shade away from Dolphin and looks like a bad paint job. The black looks Ok and IMO the Silver is best, it seems to have a moody dark look to it....and when parked next to an all silver tech 2 kitted car it makes the all silver version look very plain.

At the moment i am trying my Schnitzers tpo see if ther black centre was good, but I am not too happy with this combination..

the two tone paint does look a little odd but BMW did that with some version of the E34 M5 too didn't they?

mine a re similar to these, but my centre cap has a 038 code, not the 028 code as offered in this advert, however looking at them they are very similar if i count the spokes.

For 80 Euro its worth a try i suppose!! although looking at their online shop they seem to have most stuff, i am talking to onle shop in Uk but he wants almost 100quid for ONE cap!!!

Cheers Dave!
