Hi,

This is the first time i have posted up any pics of the Hartge in the 'photo galley'.

In 01/1985 it started life as a top of the range 323i 2 door coupe with quite a few options and went straight to Hartge, Germany to get 'tweaked' a little with H28 specifications.

The 323i M20 was pulled out and replaced with a 2.8 M30, modified to 210bhp and has lots of torque.

Believe it or not it is an auto which slightly put me off at first but i have actually grown to like it, the kick-down is phenomenal and makes a lovely noise at full chat! If/when the autobox decides to give up it's ghost, this would be the time for manual conversion winkeye

43k miles
Hartge bodykit including boot spoiler, sideskirts and front and rear valances
Hartge suspension

Yeah i finally got myself a copy of the mag too, thankfully the publisher had some brand new back issues in stock which was nice. If you want to share your pics of it at Gaydon '07 in this thread then please go ahead. Cheers

That looks stunning! King of the chromie

I've never seen a gauge cluster on top of the dash like that. Guessing they didn't do a rhd variant? :(

That is very,very nice indeed.
I particularly like the extra gauge cluster, the neatest idea I have seen yet.If someone can replicate that for RHD there will be a ready market!

On the facelift car they usually always placed the gauges within a pod on the centre console directly in front of the ashtray, as far as i am aware this always applied to RHD cars when bird's became the UK's official Hartge dealer - Before Birds came along all Hartge's came from Germany and were LHD! hence most early/prefacelift cars remaining being LHD.

I have some seen some rather different and interesting ideas behind the gauge clusters on LHD cars including the pod like mine wrapped around the instrument cluster (which also has a little in-built storage area on top) and a pod mounted on the passanger side within the storage area on top of the dash. I still think Alpina's vent gauge is one of the most quirkiest

Cheers! I've tried, searched and failed miserable in finding another one

A few times i have searched google and the only stuff i can find is of my actual car, i.e the old for sale adverts from the car's importer and the previous owner. Then i find threads on forums (inc lots of foreign ones) regarding my car when it was for sale, my forum posts and people seeing me drive about (this one is a corker, 7th post down (yes that was me driving through matlock bath :o: ) - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... d%20Thread)

So far it don't look very promising! :o

Hi, it still has it's original yellow billies, I guess the springs are eibach but i've not had a proper look at them. I'm going to give the the underside a clean before it's put away for winter so i'll have a good look then and confirm. It also has the original Blue Hartge front anti-roll bar which was an option.

An amazing car. Love the Hartge cars in white - just really works. Also love the guage pod. On my H23 the pod is on the passenger side on the top of the dash (car is LHD).
