hi guys this page will show ecatly what i have done since january when i decided instead of selling the cab for not a lot of money or worse bin her!!! i would save her. now the money i have spent restoring and saving this car will never come back to me, but that was not the reason why it was done anyhow. i love this car and for all the bits that did need doing it was so solid in most areas that other e30s have come a croper. so from jan to now the car is at this stage all rot has been cut out and replaced with new metal. i bought brand new genuine facelift rear quarters and face lift rear panel. new bonnet, new front wings, new doors, a bootlid from my old 318i:) (she had to feature in this restore somehow) a full genuine m-tech 2 bodykit (mint) with all fixings present too!!!! also complete with a1 foglights., i must add that the bodykit and quarter panels were all picked up on same day. from southwales to cheltnam from there too exeter and back to pick up bodykit. i then decided to change from black leather interior to biege. so another trip near newcastle to pick up beige carpet, seats, door cards and roof box. these were pretty dirty but i spent a full day cleaning them and they have came up pretty damn good, but i will have the seats repainted next week so hopefully they will look much newer. the bodywork was done in a place in southwales near crumlin. very very nice guys and there work is awsome. i would highly recommend these guys to anyone thinking of having some bodywork done, as these blokes focus more on restoration, big jobs ect... there are so many other little bits and bobs i have bought from here and via ebay i just cant be bothered to write anymore lol. i have also replacing all shocks, and bushes, new anti roll bar, new viscous unit, new oil cooler, and 40x40 lowering springs. thats it for now i have some pics on my phone some on another laptop, some coming from the bodyshop via email and some from my digital camera these will be chucked on next week sometime. a full day today from half 7 till 5pm ment the car was collected yesterday. all rubbed down door shuts ect.. and as i left today everypanel is painted:) she is done!!!! tommorow is the rebuilding process of putting her all back togeather. will update how we get on. mart.

well i have had the last 2 days off work with my brother to try and fit her back togeather as much as possible. its not been easy with our current cack!!! weather but we have done well. first we had to source some rear bumper shocks, a front bumper slider clip. and face lift light connections as i used to have the smaller lights on the back. all the above were got but taking things off old cars in scrappys is never strait forward and it made us work for the bits we wanted. in the end a grinder was called to sheer off the rusted nuts holding the shocks in:( but it all came out ok then:) a trip too dealers saw me buy 2 new badges (boot badge i pick up tomoz. and i also bought gromits for door pods. and some interiour clips aswell. at the end of today saw us at this point full m-tech 2 kit is now fitted and very very solid. even the side skirts are sitting flush and tight. a new front window was fitted to drivers door, winscreen was refitted. the lights were a bit more tricky and after a while of flaffing about we gave up. there was more wires from the old light set up than what goes into the facelift lights why i dont know? but we could not get rear indicators going. a light and electrical expert will sort this out tomoz. all thats left now is to fit a new back box strap to lift the exhaust as its leaning a bit to one side. fit the beige carpet and beige seats door cards. then consol, and then all the bushes and finaly the new shocks and springs. im hoping to have pics of her on here by the wkend weather permitting, we shall see.

well for some reason i cant find my pre build pics:( but its was cosmos black. on alpina reps. had tech 2 rear bumper skirts pods. and a crap aftermarket front bumper that if you touched it would crack and stuff. the back scuttle had complety rotted away. and the rear inner archs were gone i had big holes in the boot floor (not good) bonnet had a dent in it. doors were delocked before i owned her, and 1 of the doors filler had cracked. a hole was behind the passenger side in the rear on the floor. front arches were gone. exhaust was hagging only on 1 bracket. bushes were knackered. bootlid had a silly light installed into it before me again!!!! and it had had rusted quite badly. i used to spend hours wiv the polish out shining her up and to be fair the old saying you cant polish a turd i did not do too bad. it still turned heads and looked nice from a distance!!! but i say from a distance lol if you came close you could see the imperfections and i used to feel like i was driving a lie. cos people would say oooo thats a nice bemmer look at that . and id be like hmmmm its not realy guys lol. but now it will be a case of keeping her looking nice. out of the bad weather and driving her and knowing that shes driving nice. and looking nice. i also changed the seats ect.. from black to beige. thats it realy
